Sure is unbelievably weak. I am OK scheduling one game against a team like Akron, but I think it is a total waste to play a team like Georgia State. Nothing to be gained if you win convincingly except getting some experience for the backups, all sorts of downside if you play poorly or sustain a key injury.

While neither Michigan nor Ohio State have looked great so far, their non conference schedule has certainly better prepared them for conference play.
