PA HS Wrestling thread

AA 121 seeds:
1 – Will Detar, Trinity JR, SE-1, 39-1, S3-S2, Northwestern commit
2 – Brock Rothermel, Line Mountain SO, NE-1, 35-1, S3
3 – Tanner Guenot, Bald Eagle Area SO, SW-1, 45-7, S5
4 – Elijah Scriven, Hickory SO, NW-1, 41-6, SQ

Others (top):
- Dominic Deputy, Chestnut Ridge JR, SW-2, 45-4, S2, NC State

Others (bottom):
- Gauge Botero, Faith Christian SR, SE-2, 37-8, S3-S1-S6, Michigan

Excellent weight. Detar, Rothermel, Deputy, and Botero are all state champ-level wrestlers, and H2H have been close matches, often splits. Detar faces Deputy in the quarters. Botero faces Guenot in the quarters, winner gets Rothermel.

Predictions:
1 – Detar
2 – Rothermel
3 – Deputy
4 – Botero
5 - Guenot

AA 127 seeds:
1 – Joey Bachmann, Faith Christian SO, SE-1, 41-2, S1
2 – Logan Stewart, Reynolds SO, NW-1, NW-1, 37-5, S4
3 – Bradley Wagner, Mifflinburg SO, NE-1, 45-3, S7
4 – Erik Carlisle, Penns Valley SO, SW-1, 43-3, SQ

Others (top): none

Others (bottom):
- Greyson Music, Bishop McDevitt SO, SE-2, 39-7, S2

Bachmann is the obvious favorite. Music is dangerous, beat Louie Gill last year. Last year Wagner beat Rothermel and had close losses to Music (OT) and Botero.

Predictions:
1 – Bachmann
2 – Music
3 – Stewart
4 – Carlisle
5 – Wagner

AA 133 seeds:
1 – Jax Forrest, Bishop McCort JR, SW-1, 46-0, S1, Oklahoma State
2 – Aaron Seidel, Northern Lebanon SR, SE-1, 54-1, 3x S1, Virginia Tech
3 – Cyrus Herd, North East SR, NW-1, 30-2, S6-S5
4 – Ben Straub, Mifflinburg JR, NE-1, 43-5, SQ

Others: doesn’t matter.

Finals are obvious. Heart says Seidel, head says Forrest after his 11-4 H2H win earlier this year. After them, 6 other guys have to place.

Predictions:
1 – Forrest
2 – Seidel

AA 139 seeds:
1 – Brandt Harer, Montgomery JR, NE-1, 53-0, S2-S1, Rutger
2 – Camden Baum, Bishop McDevitt JR, SE-1, 45-4, S2, Purdue
3 – Sam Herring, Bishop McCort JR, SW-1, 46-4, Penn State
4 – Jonathan Bissell, Sharpsville SR, NW-1, 32-7

Others: none.

3-horse race. Herring beat Baum 4-2 and lost to Harer 1-0 earlier this year.

Predictions:
1 – Herring
2 – Harer
3 – Baum
4 – Noah Doi, Camp Hill SR, SE-2, 42-4

AA 145 seeds:
1 – Bo Bassett, Bishop McCort JR, SW-1, 48-0, S1, Slumlord U.
2 – Matthew Smith, Midd-West SR, NE-1, 47-3, S4, Clarion
3 – Hudson Hohman, Grove City JR, NW-1, 44-2, S4-S8, American
4 – Mason Wagner, Faith Christian JR, SE-1, 31-11, S5 (2023), Little Rock

Others (top):
- Cole Householder, Brookville SR, NW-2, 14-2, S7-S5, Navy

Others (bottom):
- Hayden Yacoviello-Andrus, Bermudian Springs JR, SE-3, 43-2, S3 (2023)

This is a coronation more than a bracket. Bassett will likely have a tougher test, relatively speaking, in the semis than in the finals. I've listed "others" only in the sense of the rest of the matchups.

Predictions:
1 – Bassett
2 – Hohman
3 – Wagner
4 – Smith
5 – Householder

AA 152 seeds:
1 – Devon Magro, Bishop McCort SR, SW-1, 46-3, S3, Rutger
2 – Ryan Lawler, Bishop McDevitt SR, SE-1, 42-6, S4-S3, Bucknell
3 – Cody Hamilton, Grove City SR, NW-1, 41-3, S8-S5, Clarion
4 – Landen Wagner, Lewisburg JR, NE-1, 32-10, SQ

Others (top):
- Max Stein, Faith Christian SR, SE-2, 40-7, S6-S2

Others (bottom):
- Mason Horwat, Derry SO, SW-2, 43-4, S6

Magro-Stein semis will probably be the de facto finals. Lawler beat Hamilton earlier this year in rideouts.

Predictions:
1 – Magro
2 – Lawler
3 – Stein
4 – Hamilton

AA 160 seeds:
1 – Reagan Milheim, Warrior Run JR, NE-1, 43-0, S2-S1, American
2 – Melvin Miller, Bishop McCort SO, SW-1, 45-1, S1
3 – Chase Hontz, Faith Christian SR, SE-1, 35-8, S3-S4, Hofstra
4 – Brandon Byrd, Erie Prep SR, NW-1, 39-2, SQ

Others: none

Miller has faced a national schedule; his only loss was to LaDarian Lockett. After the top 3, this is a terrible weight – 2 freshmen, 13 others who had never before qualified for states, and of those who have, 2 (including Byrd) qualified as AA Regional 4th last year. Out of a total 20 wrestlers in the bracket.

Predictions:
1 – Miller
2 – Milheim
3 – Hontz

AA 172 seeds:
1 – Brady Collins, Clearfield SR, NW-1, 40-1, S4-S3, Brown
2 – Max Wirnsberger, Warrior Run JR, NE-1, 39-5, S7 (2023), Cal Baptist
3 – Nick Singer, Faith Christian SO, SE-1, 40-7
4 – Jayden O’Farrill, Bishop McCort FR, SW-1, 9-4

Others (top):
- Luke Fugazzotto, Northwestern Lehigh JR, SE-2, 47-3, S2
- Gage Wentzel, Montoursville JR, NE-2, 46-6, S5-S4
- Carmine Lenzi, Berks Catholic SR, SE-3, 43-7, S6

Others (bottom):
- Jackson Angelo, Frazier JR, SW-3, 45-2

This weight is everything AA 160 is not. It has both steady and splash. Fugazzotto wrestled the entire year at 189, losing only to 2x state champ Adam Waters, and then got majored by Singer at regionals. O’Farrill was 2-3 in the regular season and lost at Districts to a returning Regional 7th, then pinned Angelo at regionals. Collins and Wirnsberger have been solid all year.

Predictions:
1 – Singer
2 – Fugazzotto
3 – Collins
4 – Wirnsberger
5 – O’Farrill
6 – Lenzi
7 – Wentzel

AA 189 seeds:
1 – Adam Waters, Faith Christian JR, SE-1, 42-0, 2x S1
2 – Caleb Close, Bald Eagle Area SR, SW-1, 41-1, S8-S7-S3, American
3 – Aiden Bliss, Port Allegany JR, NW-1, 31-2, SQ
4 – Tyler Ulrich, Warrior Run JR, 41-6

Others: none.

4 clear tiers at this weight: 1st, 2nd, 3rd-4th, then everyone else.

Predictions:
1 – Waters
2 – Close
3 – Ulrich
4 – Bliss

AA 215 seeds:
1 – Austin Johnson, Muncy SR, NE-1, 41-1, S2-S1-S2, Oklahoma State
2 – Lucas Lawler, Bishop McDevitt SR, SE-1, 46-1, S8-S4
3 – Braedon Welsh, Fort Cherry SR, SW-1, 44-1, S4-S5
4 – Juuso Young, Port Allegany, NW-1, 31-5

Others (top):
- Jason Singer, Faith Christian JR, SE-2, 26-9, S7-S4

Others (bottom):
- Sawyer Robinson, Towanda SR, NE-2, 40-3, S7

Johnson’s only losses in the past 2 years have been to Rune Lawrence and Jude Correa. He teched or pinned all but 3 opponents this year, including Robinson in under 30 sec in the regional finals. Lawler did give him an 8-5 battle earlier this year.

Predictions:
1 – Johnson
2 – Lawler
3 – Singer
4 - Welsh

AA 285 seeds:
1 – Rowan Holmes, Somerset SR, SW-1, 40-1, S4-S3, Lehigh
2 – Mark Effendian, Faith Christian JR, SE-1, 38-3, S3, Princeton
3 – Gavin Hannah, Brookville SR, NW-1, 42-2, S6, Bloomsburg
4 – Mason Higley, Towanda SR, NE-1, 44-0, SQ, Kent State

Others (top):
- Carson Neely, Port Allegany SR, NW-2, 25-3, S4-S5, Clarion

Others (bottom): none

The Holmes-Effendian final should be interesting. Effendian has faced a more national schedule, but their common opponent results are very similar. Holmes was also better last year at a tougher weight.

Predictions:
1 – Effendian
2 – Holmes

AA 285 seeds:

E-J, thanks for the detailed pick sheet. If I was at the track I would pay 5 bucks for your service.

AAA 107 seeds:
1 – Nicholas McGarrity, Peters Twp SO, W-1, 40-4, S6
2 – Sam Culp, Red Land SR, SC-1, 29-6, SQ
3 – Chase Williams, Central Bucks East FR, SE-1, 36-2
4 – Brayden Wenrich, Northampton FR, NE-1, 41-5

Others (top): everyone, it’s 107.

Others (bottom):
- Nico Emili, Bethlehem Catholic FR, NE-2, 33-8

It’s 107. Flip a coin.

Predictions:
1 – Wenrich
2 – Emili
3 – Williams
4 – McGarrity

AAA 114 seeds:
1 – Dominick Morrison, Hatboro-Horsham SO, SE-1, 42-1, S1
2 – Emilio Albanese, Emmaus SO, NE-1, 35-6, S4
3 – Thunder Beard, Central Dauphin JR, SC-1, SQ
4 – Nico Kapusta, Franklin Regional JR, W-1, SQ

Others (top):
- Max Tancini, Perkiomen Valley JR, SE-4, 43-5, S6-S5
- Wilmont Kai, Whitehall JR, NE-2, 31-3, S7

Others (bottom):
- Mateo Gallegos, Dubois FR, W-2, 37-4

The Kapustas are long, tall guys who drop to knees Ferrari-style. Tancini gets Kapusta after pigtails and should win if he can break thru that style. But really, this is Morrison's weight, everything else is filling in the gaps.

Predictions:
1 – Morrison
2 – Albanese
3 – Tancini
4 – Beard
5 – Gallegos

AAA 121 seeds:
1 – Elijah Hewitt, Northeastern SR, SC-1, 37-2, SQ
2 – Braiden Weaver, Altoona JR, W-1, 38-6, S5 (2023), Buffalo
3 – Reef Dillard, Bethlehem Catholic SO, NE-1, 30-6, SQ
4 – Brayden Sigle, Downingtown West JR, SE-1, 34-7

Others (top):
- Nicholas Salamone, Easton JR, NE-2, 29-7, S7-S8
- Leo Joseph, Latrobe SR, W-2, 36-5, S8, Navy

Others (bottom):
- Kavin Muyleart, Cedar Cliff SO, SC-2, 23-4, SQ

This weight is a complete dumpster fire with Sidun and Nelson both out with injuries. Somebody’s gotta win …

Predictions:
1 – Dillard
2 – Salamone
3 – Weaver

AAA 127 seeds:
1 – Keanu Dillard, Bethlehem Catholic JR, NE-1, 31-2, 2x S1, Lehigh
2 – Aiden Herndon, Cedar Cliff SO, SC-1, 35-4, S2
3 – Santino Sloboda, Butler JR, W-1, 45-0, S4-S6, Pitt
4 – Quinn McBride, Pennridge JR, SE-1, 29-7, S6

Others (top):
- Dalton Wenner, Cranberry JR, W-2, 39-6, S7-S6

Others (bottom):
- Gabriel Ballard, Northampton SO, NE-2, 36-10, S4
- Mason Whitney, Abington Heights SO, NE-3, 43-4, S7

Predictions:
1 – Dillard
2 – Ballard
3 – Herndon
4 – Sloboda

AAA 133 seeds:
1 – Nico Fanella, Indiana SR, W-1, 39-2, S4-S3, Pitt
2 – Jackson Rush, West Perry SR, SC-1, 36-2, S7
3 – Jack Campbell, Nazareth JR, NE-1, 37-6, S5
4 – Anthony Mutarelli, Council Rock South SR, SE-1, 34-3, National Preps champ (2022), Oregon State

Others (top):
- Trey Wagner, Northampton JR, NE-2, 32-5, S1, Navy

Others (bottom):
- Luke Willochell, Latrobe SR, W-2, 41-4, S2-S5-S5, Wyoming
- Colby Martinelli, Pennridge SR, SE-2, 24-6, S3-SQ

The top half of this bracket is ridiculous. Mutarelli should be the top seed, except he was ineligible the last 2 years after transferring back home. He gets returning state champ Wagner in the quarters, then Fanella in the semis.

Predictions:
1 – Mutarelli
2 – Campbell
3 – Wagner
4 – Fanella
5 – Martinelli
6 – Willochell

AAA 139 seeds:
1 – Tahir Parkins, Nazareth SR, NE-1, 46-0, S4-S1, Rutger
2 – Patrick Kelly, Central Bucks West, SE-1, 36-6, S4, Drexel
3 – Myles Grossman, Gettysburg SO, SC-1, 39-5, SQ
4 – Kai Vielma, Connellsville SO, W-1, 45-4, SQ

Others: none

Parkins is the clear favorite. A Kelly-Grossman semi, should it occur, could be interesting. Grossman's head coach is Levi's uncle Chris Haines.

Predictions:
1 – Parkins
2 – Grossman
3 - Kelly

AAA 145 seeds:
1 – Dalton Perry, Central Mountain SR, W-1, 39-3, S1-S3-S2, Penn State

2 – Eren Sement, Council Rock North SR, SE-1, 50-2, S3-S3-S3, Michigan
3 – McKaden Speece, Wilson West Lawn JR, SC-1, 40-4, Navy
4 – Michael Turi, Abington Heights JR, NE-1, 38-2, S7-S7, Cornell

Others (top): none

Others (bottom):
- Ramil Islamov, Baldwin SR, W-2, 44-1, S4, West Virginia
- Marco Frinzi, Bethlehem Catholic SR, 31-8, S6, Columbia

Perry should make the finals. The bottom half is interesting with Sement, Islamov, and Frinzi. Islamov’s only loss of the year was 7-6 to Perry in the regional finals.

Predictions:
1 – Perry
2 – Sement
3 – Turi
4 – Islamov
5 – Frinzi
6 – Speece

AAA 152 seeds:
1 – Maddox Shaw, Thomas Jefferson SR, W-1, 34-2, S3-S2-S1, anOSU
2 – Gavin Carroll, Quakertown SR, SE-1, 44-4, S5, Drexel
3 – Cade Campbell, Nazareth JR, NE-1, 36-5, SQ
4 – Nathaniel Replogle, Central York FR, SC-1, 42-6

Others (top):
- Chris Dennis, Central Bucks West JR, SE-3, 33-7, S6-S6

Others (bottom):
- James Whitbred, State College SO, W-2, 16-4, SQ
- Evan Petrovich, Connellsville SR, W-3, 44-8, S3, Pitt

Another weight with a clear favorite. Whitbred is a Fargo finalist and could make a run.

Predictions:
1 – Shaw
2 – Carroll
3 – Whitbred
4 – Campbell
5 – Petrovich
6 – Dennis

AAA 160 seeds:
1 – Collin Gaj, Quakertown SR, SE-1, 40-0, S4-S1-S2, Virginia Tech
2 – Luke Sipes, Altoona SR, W-1, 39-4, S5-S7-S4, North Carolina
3 – Christian Burd, Hershey JR, SC-1, 35-3, SQ
4 – Charlie Scanlan, Bethlehem Catholic SR, NE-1, SQ, Columbia

Others (top):
- Lonzy Vielma, Connellsville SR, W-2, 40-9, S5, West Virginia

Others (bottom):
- Keegan Ramsay, Notre Dame Green Pond JR, NE-3, 28-10, S3

Gaj beat 2x champ Mac Church for his title, and last year lost only to Rath.

Predictions:
1 – Gaj
2 – Sipes
3 – Scanlan

AAA 172 seeds:
1 – Asher Cunningham, State College SR, W-1, 31-3, S8-S4-S1, Penn State

2 – Brian Heard, Abington Heights SR, NE-1, 49-3, S5, Penn
3 – Tucker Seidel, West Perry SR, SC-1, 38-2, SQ
4 – Blake Hostetter, Oxford SO, SE-1, 44-3

Others (top):
- Shane McFIllin, Bethlehem Catholic SR, NE-3, 40-9, S4, Bucknell
- Connor Wetzel, Shikellamy SR, NE-2, 32-4, S4, Lock Haven

Others (bottom):
- Bode Marlow, Thomas Jefferson SR, W-2, 47-3, S3, Navy
- Mario Hutcherson, Kiski FR, W-3, 40-4

Cunningham is gonna tech or pin the field. He teched both Marlow and Hutcherson at West Regionals. Marlow beat Heard 26-17 (!) earlier this year. Hutcherson gets Heard in the quarters, and an upset is not inconceivable.

Predictions:
1 – Cunningham
2 – Marlow
3 – Heard
4 – Wetzel
5 – McFillin
6 – Hutcherson

AAA 189 seeds:
1 – Tyler Morrison, West Perry SR, SC-1, 37-1, S6-S4, UPJ
2 – Brayden Zuercher, Nazareth SR, NE-1, 37-2, SQ
3 – Brandon Carr, Sun Valley SR, SE-1, 47-2, SQ
4 – Kendahl Hoare, Dubois FR, W-1, 41-5

Others (top):
- Dominic Sumpolec, NDGP JR, NE-2, 33-11, S7
- Michael Spielman, Strath Haven JR, SE-5, 40-6, S8

Others (bottom):
- Mark Gray, Kiski SR, 37-7, W-3, S7 (2023), Columbia

Morrison beat Carr 2x, neither close, and teched Ulrich. Carr beat Zuercher this year 8-1. Hoare spent most of the year at 215, and won U15 freestyle nationals this year; I wouldn't be surprised if he won the weight.

Predictions:
1 – Morrison
2 – Carr
3 – Zuercher
4 – Hoare
5 – Sumpolec

AAA 215 seeds:
1 – Elijah Brown, Belle Vernon JR, W-1, 44-1, SQ, Pitt
2 – Brody Rebuck, Shikellamy SR, NE-1, 41-1, SQ
3 – Brodie Daugherty, Manheim Central SR, SC-1, 39-2
4 – Walker Murray, Pennsbury SR, SE-1, 30-1

Others (top):
- Jake Conroy, Ringgold SR, W-4, 35-5, S4, Cornell

Others (bottom):
- Cooper Roscosky, Kiski JR, W-2, 38-7, S6
- Decker Bechtold, Owen J. Roberts FR, SE-2, 17-3
- Roman Thompson, Pittsburgh Central Catholic SO, W-3, 34-3, SQ

This weight is a mess. Brown is the favorite, but even then, chaos. He lost to Conroy 14-10, then teched Conroy 15-0 – both this year.

Predictions:
1 – Brown
2 – Roscosky
3 – Murray
4 – Rebuck
5 – Thompson

AAA 285 seeds:
1 – Dean Bechtold, Owen J. Roberts JR, SE-1, 13-0, S6-S2, Lehigh
2 – Maxwell Roy, St. Joe’s Prep SR, NE-1, 19-0, S6, Ohio State football
3 – Shepard Turk, Thomas Jefferson SR, W-1, 43-6, SQ, Pitt football
4 – Guner Hiller, Cedar Cliff SR, SC-1, 28-8, St. Francis football

Others: none. There are only 3 other returning SQs – the best of whom was a Regional 3rd/State DNP last year.

This weight stinks after Bechtold and maybe I guess (unconvincingly) Roy and Turk.

Predictions:
1 – Bechtold
2 – Roy
3 – Turk

Amazing!!! Thanks for all that!!

Not sure if it was mentioned anywhere but Tom Ryan was at SE Regional to watch Adam Waters.
Not surprised. I've seen Waters being interested in Missouri, Michigan, Arizona State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, OKST, and Ohio State. And can't dismiss Lehigh being in his backyard.

Also gotta think Ryan was snooping around a lot of other guys at SE AA Regionals, notably the Bachmanns, the Singers, and Music. At least.

Oh yeah def a bunch guys he was looking at. Pat Santoro was there too. Took a lot of things away from watching some great matches. Detar beating Botero was awesome. Little Bachman barely beat Wolford. He was gassed.

Which of the Bachmanns got their bell rung and put into concussion protocol?

To be honest I am not sure. I was there watching but also have other kids I follow and with so much going on I did not catch it. I do know the wolford and freddie match went real long so I would guess it was that match? Actually on floarena it looks like neither had injury time?

Anything else of note from there?

I was shocked by the Singer-Fugazzotto final. Wasn't sure which would win, but a 12-0 major was definitely not something I saw coming. Especially with the state finalist being on the wrong end of it.

A reminder when following states: don't get too excited about gaudy W-L records when considering future college prospects.

Here is the list of all-time wins by PIAA wrestlers. There are zero D1 NCAA champs among the top 30, and only 2 (Nolf, Oliver) in the top 50. Sasso (#41) is the only other finalist in the top 50. Most of the top 50 were not college AAs.

107- Lotier and Chunko on another level from rest of the field. Not a deep weight. 3-4 place kids had a great scrap and they are solid tough kids.

114- The most loaded weight by far. I could talk about this bracket on so many levels. There were so many top kids at this weight. Schickley got upset by Smith who then lost to Shuman. Shickely i had pegged 4-5. He did not even make too 8!! Shuman got the best gift thanks to Smith, and Shuman then earned his 5th place finish. Manyette had a nice tournament. I think Wolford beats Bachman if he rides him a few more seconds. Freddie had a nice escape in OT. Bachman rode Sammy pretty easy to win. Great match but Freddie looked so gassed and was taking a long time to get back to the center.

121- Detar and Botero top 2 and on their own island. Then you have like 4 good
kids. Then a few decent kids. The way bracket was laid out one of those kids were getting eliminated. Spofferd was that guy. He then lost to Bitting in under 30 seconds for 7-8th place. Bitting also pinned Deputy in by far the upset of the year at team states. Bitting got teched a couple times last few weeks by a few kids. Anyway the finish of Detar and Botero was awesome. I think Botero went for a jonesy and Detar locked up a cradle and put him on his back to win it in OT.

127- Extremely weak weight class. Bachman and Music was the match up we knew since sectionals. No offense to anyone but the other kids who qualified for states are lucky. I don’t wanna call a kid out but damn this kid I have zero clue what happened, but how he did not get 3rd place at this weight is a huge head scratcher!!! He did not even qualify for states.

133- Seidel hammered Green. No surprise there. Why can no one stop his only go to takedown? He is the best kid on top for years IMO. Also Aaron is nothing but class. Never in my life have I ever heard one bad thing about this kid. Rooting for him against Forrest.

Baum in a class by himself. He destroyed everyone. 2-5 are all interchangeable. All solid kids.

One man class with Wagner at 145. Extremely weak and boring weight class. Wagner dominated everyone.

152- Ok. All 3 of these placement matches were bonkers!! 5-6 came down to the wire and it was exciting and heart breaking. Senior from Tulpehocken almost got to qualify for states and lost and to see him just see him breakdown knowing his career is over was sad. 3-4 place match was also crazy. Vitalo had the leg a few times but Albert kept funking him every time. Vitalo was so close and could have won that match. But again came down to the very end. But damn the Stein-Lawler match was high level crazy action. With both rowdy fan bases made it even more exciting.

160- Hontz breezed through everyone except he had a 1-0 match against Acevedo in the quarters. Acevedo a freshman having a nice year at 160. Too defensive though. Hubert was a 107 and 114 pounder his first two years. Saucon Valley let him eat his junior and senior year I guess.

172- Singer is a hammer. Dominated Fugazotto in the finals and hammered Lenzie in the quarters.

189- Adam Waters.

215-Did not see this match but Lawler and Singer no surprise.

285- Effendian in a class by himself. Heavy class is just so damn weak.

I mean no disrespect to any kid. Just trying to be honest with some thoughts. Congrats to every kid who made it to the regional tournament and qualified for states.

I watched Emili- Wenrich the last 2 weeks. Emili doesn't have an answer for Wenrich length who looks like a bean pole. Emili has hit some big moves on some good kids this year but Wenrich is well coached.

AAA 121 seeds:
1 – Elijah Hewitt, Northeastern SR, SC-1, 37-2, SQ
2 – Braiden Weaver, Altoona JR, W-1, 38-6, S5 (2023), Buffalo
3 – Reef Dillard, Bethlehem Catholic SO, NE-1, 30-6, SQ
4 – Brayden Sigle, Downingtown West JR, SE-1, 34-7

Others (top):
- Nicholas Salamone, Easton JR, NE-2, 29-7, S7-S8
- Leo Joseph, Latrobe SR, W-2, 36-5, S8, Navy

Others (bottom):
- Kavin Muyleart, Cedar Cliff SO, SC-2, 23-4, SQ

This weight is a complete dumpster fire with Sidun and Nelson both out with injuries. Somebody’s gotta win …

Predictions:
1 – Dillard
2 – Salamone
3 – Weaver
Dillard and Salamone know each other so well it's like watching an older couple slow dancing
They should just start in tiebreaker.

AAA 139 seeds:
1 – Tahir Parkins, Nazareth SR, NE-1, 46-0, S4-S1, Rutger
2 – Patrick Kelly, Central Bucks West, SE-1, 36-6, S4, Drexel
3 – Myles Grossman, Gettysburg SO, SC-1, 39-5, SQ
4 – Kai Vielma, Connellsville SO, W-1, 45-4, SQ

Others: none

Parkins is the clear favorite. A Kelly-Grossman semi, should it occur, could be interesting. Grossman's head coach is Levi's uncle Chris Haines.

Predictions:
1 – Parkins
2 – Grossman
3 - Kelly
Parkins is impossible to score on.

Not sure if it was posted. Cael youngest son,Teag, won the PA Junior High State Tournament at 157 pounds. He was 20th seed , he went 6-0 with 3 slaps and 2 techs. He's in 7th grade and is pretty big already
I would post a picture of him on podium but I'm an idiot on that skill set 😕.
