Pack vs. Pokes in Italy -- Friday 1/5, 1:30 pm ET

So then it hasn’t affected him too much?

? It's the difference from winning and losing, so I'd say it's affected him a lot. Yes he can still stalemate good shots, but when people get in great shots he can't go to his back and lay there, so now he gives it up.

The shots Jack got on him today were no deeper than Guilibon got on him last year and he was able to stalemate those..

Bottom line he has 2 losses this year compared to 0 the last 2. He didn't get worse as a wrestler..but the rules have changed

He looked like the better wrestler to me
They were talking about Fausz making a big pull to get down to 125 and with only the 1-hour weigh-in for a dual. Fausz didn't seem tired at all, and was pushing the action in much of the 3rd, even with the lead (not that Picc was stalling). He looked very impressive.

This. Before the season started I suggested that the new rule would give Heil a couple of losses this year. A couple of people claimed that no, Heil will adjust. Maybe he has to an extent, but on a shot like the one Jack won on, Heil had nowhere to go. Had to give it up. I'm surprised he didn't take his chances with the exposure, unless it was just too deep and fast, couldn't get the ankles.

Gonna laugh if Cruz successfully defends.

Gonna wet my pants laughing if Cruz repeats + Ohio State finishes 6th or lower.
Can't recall ever saying this to anyone, but jefe, I hope you end up wetting your pants, and I hope that you're at least at home when it happens.;)

Depends ...

Won't be as bad as when Minnesota crapped themselves in the finals a few years ago.

Can someone explain why these two teams traveled all the way to Italy to wrestle in front of a hundred people?
As I understand it: they were supposed to wrestle in Naples but, after travel plans were already booked, a local official refused to allow the match at the facility.

US Naval installation was the backup plan, but since it's a military base, very limited passes were issued for non-US military personnel -- I think the number was around 50.

Now, why more US servicemen didn't attend ... that's another question.

And I would also say it’s affecting a lot. He would have lost to Gulibon both times. No question about it.

he is so hard to get to a HiC on or get his leg in the air, that opponents go low on him. His head and hands D are tough, but on the flipside he isnt an offensive machine. He doesnt put himself at risk much, or picks his spots.

Heils TD yesterday was a counter off of jacks shot. I may very well be wrong but I dont remember heil getting to a leg at all.

Its a strategy that has worked, but maybe the tape and time are no longer his friends.

125, 141 and 165 are just brutal. Bound to be guys we know that dont AA and surprise guys that do AA.
