Without giving this much thought, and hoping to generate some discussion.
- Get off my lawn moment. Some part of me thinks this is the beginning of the end of college athletics as we know it, and I long for simpler days. Then again, every change that came before this was, too.
- Who am I kidding? NIL has been going on under the table for years, at least in football. I have a friend who coached a recent backup QB at Alabama. This kid told him that the stuff they were getting from supporters was unbelievable. And, this kid will never take a snap for Alabama. Maybe this levels the playing field...
- For the haves. The rich, and the big, get richer and bigger. How long will the have nots continue to have not and still support niche programs?
- The law of unintended consequences may have dire, well, consequences.
Mine is, get out of my frking pasture before you get run over by a bull. Other than that.. yeah, this to me is the Olympics when the pros started playing. It's over as we know it.
Just saw someone do the joke about the agent that shows up at a ranch, and the rancher says, "Just don't go in that field." The agent says, "See this badge? I can go anywhere I please." Perfect Storm... Rangers dominate in the reg season but get thumped in the post season! I'm with the Pens but not putting much $ if any on it 
I can't even defend my Pens. They're limping into the playoffs. The Iowa analogy is unfortunately accurate. But there will be no sweeping.
