Hell no. One of the biggest reasons we struggled so many years was because we kept moving guys on the o line to unfamiliar positions. He has played right tackle his whole career at Penn State, keep him there and coach him up.
Great to have Wallace back as he’s very talented and really helps with depth. I’m not sure RT is his best spot and probably better suited inside. Personally I’d prefer Shelton at RT as he’s looked great at LT and athletic. Wallace reminds me of Will Fries who played RT out of necessity and looked good at times, but was better suited inside. Fries is starting for Indy at RG now.
Need a right tackle who can block a quick edge rusher. Is that Wallace? He seemed to have the tools when he was recruited. We'll see if he gets serious in the off season. A potential pro career should be a motivator.
Wallace has said he’s gotten reps at G in practice so it’s not a surprise if he moves to G. I would love to see an OLine of LT Fashanu, LG Tengwell, C Noraz, RG Wormley, and RT Shelton. I get Wallace has the most experience at RT and he’s highly rated, but he struggled in pass coverage. Shelton had looked phenomenal as a true freshman at LT so not sure how you keep him off the field.
I don't like to count on true freshmen on the OL but we have 2 really highly rated kids coming in. Singleton & Allen must be excited.
