Love watching/listening to Josh’s show. Does great work with college football. He’s high in PSU.

Reasonable Thoughts. Going 12-0 is not easy for any major college team, but the potential is there so it seems.
Most of what he says is reasonable, however, I don't think a bunch of his assumptions are. Allar isn't the most talented QB Franklin has had. That is Hackenberg by a solid margin. While I think Allar will be very good by season's end, expecting a very raw rookie to come in right away is not reasonable. He played in ten games but none of them were against defenses as good as Illinois, much less Iowa, both in September. We don't have a power running game because we use a passive spread gap blocking scheme exclusively. The two concepts are mutually exclusive. Furthermore, tier one teams don't just beat Iowa in September. They don't. Beyond the overly optimistic take, I think a reasonable best case is 11 and 1 with a loss to Michigan. We might be better come November, but most think Michigan is peaking this year. I think a likely best case is 10 and 2. At the bottom end, I think a reasonable worse case is 7 and 5 with losses to every team that matters, much like 2021. I think a likely worst case is 8 and 4. Right now, I think a happy medium is 9 and 3 with losses to Iowa, Ohio State and Michigan.
