A win is a win is a win is a win
Lots to work on (like most teams) but we survived and now we have to clean it up
This is the year Franklin has to prove what he's capable of--2-0 so far

At Franklin’s press conference next week we won’t have to worry about the defense not getting talked about enough.

Unless BG goes undefeated the rest of the way, this was an unforgiveable, self-inflicted wound.
Nope. It was ugly, but if we go into Ohio State undefeated, this will be of no consequence.

Of course, the defense has to improve.

Defense was atrocious but more concerned how lousy the offense was the 2nd half. Just like last season.

Not a good performance by defense in 1H (defense has played well in 2H). Nobody really knows how good BGSU is at this point.
Traditionally, BG is not a good football team. Honestly don't know about this year. Great hockey program though.

There’s a lot of work to do. Get that work in and make the adjustments needed during this bye week

Seven penalties for 76 yards. Many of them at critical times

They lost by one score in a bowl game last season to Minnesota. Jack Ham said in the pregame show that they have 33 seniors and were preseason #3 in the MAC. They look like a very credible team, and I’m glad that PSU got tested instead of playing in a rent a victim game.

Typical Franklin football. Alot of smoke no fire. Allar isnt the guy. He doesnt see the field. To bad there wasnt a way to measure a players heart.

Allar and the O had some problems today and he can’t be throwing picks in the end zone. That said, they did score 34 points. There were many other problems today that were far greater than him IMO.

Did anyone else feel that consistently throughout the game the linesmen were spotting Penn State guys have to a full yard short of where they actually gained? On one of Singleton‘s runs down by the end zone. He clearly got past the 4 yard line and they barely tucked the ball inside of the five. a couple Alan runs up the middle on the next drive. We’re both marked just about a yard short of where he actually gained as well.

Why does everyone think we're dropping? We don't even know what other teams are doing
Michigan is clearly not jumping us. Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech haven't been good today
Maybe Miami and Utah but who cares where we're ranked in September
Man you and I are starting to agree on lots of things. I don’t think Penn State drops but if they do it doesn’t mean a damn thing at this time of year.

I guess you're not following the BCS playoff criteria and tiebreakers.
Every season, PSU and every other team has two to three games like this, and you just have to be good enough to fight through the lethargy. If you have to win every game by 30 or more points, then there won’t be 12 teams to qualify.

I thought that too especially on a critical third down catch when they have BG a first down

Correct. People can't set emotions aside. Months from now all that matters is the win.

The coaches obviously made some adjustments that worked, like moving Carter to middle linebacker.

As long as you win it, a game like this is a good thing.

BG is usually near the bottom of the MAC. Having that many seniors is helpful. It is next year that will be a problem. Michigan found that out today.
