Bummer ending but Shunk showed a lot of fight.
Nice of Cael to give Indiana a chance to outscore Ohio State.
Last two shots in regulation were by Shunk. Both good shots too. But Porter gets TD in SV. Entertaining match.

Shunk had no chance on his feet, I'd expect him to be better than that. Maybe getting hammered in the room everyday isn't good for the backups.
He did, and I also think Porter was ailing a bit. Energy and sharpness seemed off.

Hey - how about a little more info on the matches for people like me who aren’t watching or listening to Byers. Two matches have already happened and I have no clue about the scores or anything else.
Sure looked a fall. Shunk had him flat for a at least a second. Ref was right there too.

It’s not a 1 to 1 comparison but Van Ness’ season reminds me a RBY’s true freshman year. Very good but not quite at the elite level. But you can see the process there to become an elite kid.
Van Ness: 14 stalling calls for ..0 stalling calls against. That's the stat that tells me Shayne can reach the podium next month.
