Those are, as the kids say today, tight! Usually new teams' uniforms suck, but they did these up right.

I've been looking to buy one since last year. The Only grey version I can find is through PSU athletics and it looks very generic. Would pay a pretty penny for an authentic one of these!

Check out Rapid Transit on Allen Street. I think they might have them.

Yup, my son and I were at the game last night, "Dirty" was how my son described the jerseys. Nice look. He said he checked on them between 2-3 period and they are $104 so he's after one.

Allow me to RAVE for a second about Rapid Transit Sports... In a day and age of soul-less big-box chain retailers that just plain SUCK (I'm looking at YOU, Dicks Sporting Goods) , Rapid Transit Sports keeps the torch burning with regard to independent small businesses... Great selection (spectacularly cluttered) , competititive prices, great service by people that know a thing or two about the equipment they carry...

My seventh-grader is dabbling in wrestling (yeech!) and needed his first pair of rasslin' shoes.... Went to Dicks and he (ummm, I) got a boner for Asics Cael Sanderson v6.0 ... Of course these were special order for McDicks in anything else other than black... One call to Rapid Transit (no computerized phone-tree labyrinth to navigate) and the guy knew exactly what I was referring to... Came down for the scUM game a couple days later and the guy behind the counter remembered my inquiry right away and picked'm up after the game... They even let my kids use their restroom...

Love that place! Also found a hard-ta-find plain ol' 409 baseball cap to replace my trusty, well-worn original :)

This! Whether it's Rapid Transit, Lions Pride, Family Clothesline, or the Student Bookstore....whatever you want or need PSU, please buy it downtown and stay away from the campus bookstore.

It's bad enough that we have to feed the ncaa w/ the licensing, there's no need to compound the problem by giving old Crooked U the money. Give it to the downtown merchants.

I didn't see a grey one for sale on the Rapid Transit "website". Seems the only grey ones I have been able to find are either generic or the champion one linked above. I'm looking for the real deal Nike one. Are these for sale to the public? I no longer live in PA, so if they are for sale only at games, I'm SOL.

I agree about Rapid Transit. I'm a runner and the level of individualized attention they provide to make sure you get the right running shoe is awesome. They actually take you outside to Calder Way, have you run in various shoes, and give their input. Once, I went there and they didn't have the shoes I was looking for and had to order them. They offered to drop them off at my home or office when they came in! I've been wearing the same type of shoe for years. I can usually just go in and ask for my size and don't need to try them on. Last time I went there they were particularly busy but I thought I could just get my normal size and get out. The sales guy told me I should try them on because the style had changed a little and I might need a bigger size. He was right. I was impressed because he could have just given me what I asked for and sent me on my way.

In addition, they have a very liberal return policy. I've told others about this place and they have become loyal customers too.

Rapid Transit reminds me of the "Army & Navy" type stores my parents would take me to back in the 70's for HS gym uniforms, gymbags, varsity jackets, and school-colored Chuck Taylors :)

I got my white jersey and my nephew's gray alternate at the team store in the Pegula Arena (just as was said above, I paid $104 for youth large at the Arena). They are the real McCoy, sans names and numbers ( I wanted a Kenny Brooks 13, but they told me I would have to go to the penalty box for it :p). Sorry I can't help with what's available downtown.

Our face masks used to be grey!

The men's basketball team has wornngrey and blue uniforms recently too. It not an official color, but an easy fit.
So you equate the old facemasks to today's hockey sweaters? Really?
Light Blue is an "easy fit" too....why don't we try that for a sweater color?

I recall when the Athletic Dept revealed the updated logo ( angry lion looking over its shoulder) 15yrs or so they officially adopted grey as a secondary color (beyond the primary Blue n White) just for the purpose of snazzying up BBall uni's and licensed apparel

Thank goodness for your recollection.

I knew my use of "sweater" would go over well with our hockey-friendly crowd. That term is a Canadianism that never goes out of style - like Tim Horton Donuts.
