If only they would have played first two periods like the third. Who would've thought that a team with Malkin & Crosby would have a hard time scoring. Last 10 minutes is why hockey is best pro sport. Loved that Hornquist headlocked Hagelin at end of game.

Malkin is just a detriment. Watching the game tonight he was just horrible.

Malkin very clearly is not even close to 100%...

His game is just way off...passing up shots and doesn't have the gear he usually does.

Pens are playing admirably well but as G1 and G3 have shown, there's zero margin for error and with no Tanger, there's an element of their game they just can't compensate for. Each of these games has been winnable though.

The Pitt players sure seem to have a knack to jump on the other team's smaller players. It is very enjoyable.

It is the first time I've seen anyone come to Syd's defense in the playoffs. Last few years, he has taken a lot of abuse. In NFL and NBA, star players are protected. Not so much in the NHL. Heck, NHL wouldn't even let the Pens place an injured player on injured reserve so they could call up another player b/c it circumvented salary cap, almost costing them of the most popular teams and players a place in the post-season.

Right on regarding Malkin. No doubt he is hurting from the back injury. If he is anywhere near the player he normally is, the Pens are likely leading this series. All games were winnable. Add a healthy Letang and you wonder how we lost to the Rangers last year ?

No doubt Lundquist was the reason for their comeback, as he was lights out last year. He's still probably the difference and the MVP in this series thus far as well.

We? Were you on the ice tonight? Did you watch the same game the rest of us did? The Rangers shut them down for at least 50 minutes. That game easily should have been 3-1 or 4-1 in favor of the Rangers. And Crosby was and is the biggest baby to ever put on a pair of skates. Never saw a "star" player with so many cheap shots and so much whining. Gretzky didn't play like that, nor did Messier, Jagr, Lemiuex or any other great players from other eras. It's only a matter of time before McDonough flatens the baby, once and for all.
