A team loaded with 4 and 5 star athletes, playing at home, after a bye week, with one of the top coaches of our generation, needed a career game from its 9th year senior, the all time leading Big10 TD passer, to win by a point.

Stop with the negativity already.

Penn State is back on the national scene.

Blew a multi touchdown lead in a game that would have put them in the drivers seat to defend the conference championship and make the playoff. I don’t think anyone is upset with where the program is at in terms of big picture but they screwed the pooch today.

A one point loss that was nip and tuck the whole way would just feel better than blowing an 18 point lead with the supposed best back in the country to eat up the clock.

I understand that OSU has talent and had a bye week, but it's the way they lost that hurts. I blame it on the coaches. You need to learn from the past and not repeat it. They couldn't block the dline yet they kept going with the RPO. They went too conservative inside the 10 when they saw has easy OSU was carving up the defense. It was a repeat of the Rose Bowl. You have to at least try to throw into the end zone when you are down there especially when you have some size advantages at WR and TE. Just leaves you scratching your head. Oh well, if they end up 11-1 can we really complain?

Under Moorhead, we have never been able to eat up clock. Just a fact.

Going undefeated is tough. Clemson lost to Pitt last year. At home. Lost to Syracuse this year. Choklahoma lost to Iowa State.

Am I disappointed? Sure. Are there things our coaches could have done differently to win that game? Sure, but you can say that about any close loss.

As the OP points out, team that has been recruiting lights out, at home, bye week, lose and you're out of the playoffs....hardly a loss to hang your head over.

Sitting here at this point last year, did anyone believe Michigan was going to lose twice? Not saying we make the Big Ten Championship game, but there's still a ton of football to be played.
