How heavy is Dunn

Wasn't he wrestling at 220# earlier in the season?

Re: How heavy is Dunn

Dunn wrestled 220 right up to districts. I'd bet Spiller was close to 235-240 himself -- he wrestled 220 last year, and 2 years ago the only reason he went heavy was Haines at 220.

How refreshing to see 2 active heavies instead of 2 statues.

watched on pcn.joseph is the kind of wrestler cael seems to like-very offensive minded, wants to score a lot of points.stout showed he can ride for sure.not so sure of his offense.he didn't seem to take many shots.i don't know if this match was an aberration for him or not.if it's his regular style, cael has some work to do.the announcers compared him physically to qw.

I think the truth on Stout is somewhere in between. He does have some room to grow offensively. On the other hand, he did win his other 3 matches 6-0, 13-0, 7-0.

Some credit is due to the opponent. Jakobsen is really good. His only other loss of the year was in OT to Chris Dietrich (2x NY state champ now at Wyoming Seminary). On paper this looked like a really tough match-up, and it was.

The announcers compared Stout to Q (specifically because of body type), but I think the better comparison is to Smack, at least on top. In HS, Smack rode with a RH half + spiral, scored with it against lesser opposition, but against elite opposition was merely a devastating rider with it. (Sound familiar?)

Like Smack, Stout is plenty athletic enough to add more to his offensive arsenal when he arrives at PSU.

One big difference: Stout is taller. He'll make an even better candidate for the bow and arrow than Smack, just because he'll have an easier reach and more leverage.
