Pitt #1, PSU #16

Hard to imagine getting up the morning of Dec. 7, 1917, and reading that with a straight face.

It must be that pennsylvania speed. I see lehigh and penn were also in the mix.

Lehigh had Dominick Bragalone’s grandfather back then. Many Penn Staters were up in arms when Dick Harlow didn’t get him to commit to the Nittany Lions.

Glad we canned that fricken Harlow. I was against him from the start. Couldn't recruit and couldn't coach on game day.

Yeah, and too much RPO... not enough running out of the I. Pretty sure Hingle McCringleberry’s great grandfather was on that team. Would have been a lock for the Heisman if they’d have gotten him in space... dang that Harlow...

He laid an egg(birds egg) with that loss to Pitt in 16 and those silly stunts and reverses are not what football is supposed to be

Yea, I recall Fran Fisher and George Paterno broadcasting that game. Lots of criticism of Harlow's play calling. Way too much emphasis on running. Too many redshirts. He didn't play his best players.

And too much emphasis on the sticking the jab and right cross and left hook. That’s not what football is supposed to inckude either.

Ha. Tell that to the fans Down South and stadium security in Miami.

Is there anyway rivals can delete all Pitt threads on here unless it is game week or has some type of football or recruiting relevance? I'd be in favor of them doing the same on their site regarding Penn State threads.
