Pitt fans say the darndest things

Temple is not even on our radar. That is a PSU thing. Pitt used to play them and smash them, that is not a rivalry.

Yep. pitt leads the series 27-7-1.

About what JoePa did to pitt..... Now you know why Joe thought it a waste of time to play pitt..... and why it is like beating Akron......

How's this for a tailback tradition? @Tony_Dorsett @CurtisMartin28 @CutonDime25 @JamesConner_ #Pitt

Not very good. You have TD, and we all know what was going on at Pitt in that time frame... then not one of the other backs you've listed accomplished anything while at Pitt. No national championships, no conference championships, no Heisman trophies, no high draft picks. Without the ill gotten wins of the TD era, the more recent three tailbacks you list have a combined losing record while at Pitt.

The exception is Charlie Weis at ND. And I could also make a good argument about Lane Kiffin at USC.

I think Lane KIffin has proven himself to be a good coach and fantastic recruiter. He has FAU rolling and is bringing in probably the best talent the program has ever seen. He was also a fantastic OC for Alabama under Saban.

The problem with Kiffin is that he rubs everybody the wrong way eventually. UT fans hate him. He was fired from USC. He was fired by Saban at Bama before their national championship game. I know he signed a 10-year deal with FAU recently but make no mistake, he is a hot commodity in the CFB world. He won't be at FAU long. He'll get another shot at a major P5 school in the near future, especially if he keep cleaning up in CUSA, which he will.

You guys do realize I'm kidding, don't you?But thanks for the dissertation on Pa recruiting I'm impressed.
I guess I should of said Narduzzi 3-Franklin 0 the last 6 days. I don't count JCs in recruiting. That's a sore subject here in Morgantown because that's all Holgersen gets plus some transfers. But I totally forgot about Ellis it seems he committed like 3 years ago.I wonder if Ellis is thinking about flipping to Pitt since the Nardogs onslaught the last week?

I knew you were kidding if it means anything.

Who cares, Pitt is moving down south and grabbing players. We need to compete with Clemson, FSU, Miami, NC. We beat Clemson, and Miami when they where highly ranked. Penn State still waiting on their big win. NARD is doing his thing. We are happy and need to support our team.
recruits will come. Our schedule is one of the hardest in the country. Penn State is a powder puff schedule compared to Pitt. We got some good recruits and we are in the 20's nationally. We are doing good. We found our QB and if the offensive line can protect him and we get the receivers going we will be fine. Looking forward to Pitt and Penn State.

Penn State, the 2016 B1G conference champs.

You "PSU still waiting on their big win." It's like you don't pay attention at all.

And the Pitt is moving down south excitement. I guess it's the old a "3-star Florida guy is a high 4-star PA guy" narrative. Narduzzi can have those 3-star Florida guys with no other major P5 offers. Franklin is absolutely crushing Duzz. We'll take the 4 and 5 star guys.

Some of these guys are truly despicable people....

I still root for jesse james to actually get hurt every time he catches the ball for us, and I LOVE the steelers.

That guy needs to get out of his moms basement. He thinks he's judge and jury over there. No chance he has a job. He responds to every post, talk about a loser.

Number 99, HUGH Green! Hugh placed 2nd behind South Carolina RB George Rogers, an unprecedented finish for a purely defensive player. #H2P

Way are you so worried about us? We are doing our thing and building momentum. We will get our 4 Stars I am not worried. We are just fine. You guys are sounding like haters, once we break through Ga, AL, and Louisiana down south and get size and speed we will be just fine..

We always get a 4 star I am not worried about recruiting. Our times are coming. Our schedule is not easy. I wished we had cupcakes. But that is what we have and we have to deal with it. I would like to play PSU every year. I like WVU because that is a bigger rivary for us. It is nothing delusional about us I understand where we are. Clemson is going to be in the playoffs this year and FSU will get themselves together Our league is pretty balance.
Pitt is moving its recruiting south. We are getting the players to be more SEC than Big Ten. You can have the State. Nard is figuring it out and Florida is big for us and Ohio to an extent. But Georgia and Florida is going to be big for us.
Until you guy's can beat a Major South Team like Clemson. You are only pretenders Pitt is going to be there they needed a QB and that is what separates great teams from bad teams. I like Pickett and we will see this year.

A four star. Narduzzi recruits a 4-star a year. That's a problem. You don't win conference championships with the recruiting classes Narduzzi brings in. He has negative charisma.

Starting lineup program insert for 1980 Gator Bowl. Absolutely stunning to consider the mega talent on both sides of the ball for this Pitt team. #H2P

#71 Bill Maas still owes money to his supplier for his cocaine purchases!

I used to work with this very same supplier sir! And yes, the business was legal.

I think it was around $600. Have Bill pay it in cash!!!

I have to admit I've only heard of three guys in the starting lineup. You need to stop assuming many people outside of Allegheny County give a darn about Pitt.

I have met Tony DOORsit a number of times (long before his squash starting turning to mush). There might not be a bigger horses ass on the planet than Tony D.

JoePa was quoted as saying: "Had we recruited Tony the way Tony wanted us to recruit him, he would have went to Penn State."

I don't think that roster is as amazing as they're claiming but you had to have heard of at least 6. Grimm, May, Marino, Green, Jackson and Sunseri. The first 4 everyone has to know that followed football. Sunseri may only be known because of his kids but still should be known. Jackson--maybe not but I would think. I know only a handful or the others but I was also about 3 then

And if Joe had recruited LeSean McCoy the way LeSean wanted to be recruited then he also would have gone to Penn State. Of course the problem with that was that the way LeSean wanted recruited in a way that didn't require him to go to class but still get the grades needed to stay eligible.
