Pitt fans say the darndest things

It is the equivalent to you going to Walmart seeking out the fat girl. Nobody is forcing you to log onto the Pitt message board to look for things.

Have you ever looked at the webpage “the people of Walmart”. It is a collection of pictures of goofy people walking around Walmart in things they shouldn’t wear. It’s hilarious much like visiting Pantherlair http://www.peopleofwalmart.com

I visit both Pantherlair and the website above for laughs. I’m not sure which is funnier

Likewise nobody is forcing you to be on this message board...to "look for things." Why are you here again?

If you're comparing Pitt to a morbidly obese woman wearing sweat pants 5 sizes too small shopping at Wal-Mart, then I think most people on the board this board will agree with you.

How badly has Pitt been outscored in this series since midway thru the 2nd qtr of 2016? It has been an absolute beatdown. You know Franklin is going to put an exclamation point on it the year. I believe the state has been dominated

Here you go:

2016 2nd half: 25-14, PSU
2017: 33-14, PSU
2018: 51-6, PSU

Total: PSU 109, pitt 34

ASS. BEATING.

Only need to beat them by 25 this year to finish pummeling them by 100. I’d put that down as probable. Hard to call that a rivalry but it is enjoyable to watch

In all seriousness, you know the Pittsburgh media already has their stories written for next season. You know the “this game has to be played” stories and the “This series needs continued.” Stories

Those stories are going to look kind of silly when Penn State wins the last 3 games by an avg of 33 points and the stands were empty in the 4th qtr for each

Ground Hog day.....did any recruits see Nardouche's shadow?
Well kind of, with all the frenzy by teams to fill out their 2019 class the brain trust on the Lair is trying to figure out why the Duzz is sending up a “ Pat Signal “ for another kicker. By 11:00 PM he will be elevated to the next Ray Guy award winner.

Seems their Rat Signal is for SIRVOCEA DENNIS, NJ linebacker. But this kid really must have some character, as he originally committed to Air Force.

Zero stars on Rivals. Like in NONE....

I can’t imagine how bad it would suck to be a Pitt fan. Watching Penn State land 2-4 stars in 2020 and 1 in 2021 as you fill out you 2019 class with an unrated recruit. They will spend the next few weeks telling themselves Aaron Donald didn’t have many stars

My sources tell me he’s way way WAY underrated.....he’s gotta be inside the top 4000 in the Nation.....he’s also gotta be close to the top 250 at his Position.....and how could he not be at least 75th in NY State?

Sometime I just don’t understand recruiting rankings.....it won’t be long until he’s being promoted as the next “Dennis the Menace”!

Here’s how pathetic it is, and I don’t want bust on the kid. But God Almighty, Rutgers didn’t even give this kid a sniff.

Pitt’s fanbase has to extremely happy this is the last game of the series. These 2 teams are stratospheres apart now and it’s only getting worse

Pitt board believes that Duzzy was told that Devonshire was UK bound so he used the scholarship to get this LB. Good for the kid though, as he reportedly said he always wanted to got to pitt, and get beat up in the ACC coastal.....

He wasn't just "committed to Air Force, he signed his LOI according to Chris Peak. Why would Air Force release him from his LOI? Hmm?

https://pittsburgh.rivals.com/news/narduzzi-adds-another-lb-to-the-2019-class

"He signed with Air Force in December, but was let out of his Letter of Intent and drew interest from the Pitt staff. That interest was quickly reciprocated.

“I’ve always wanted to go to Pitt, so when the opportunity presented itself, I took it,” Dennis told Panther-Lair.com"

Something seems a bit off with this kid. From Peak's article;

"Dennis is a native of Syracuse who is spending a post-graduate year at The Peddie School in Highstown, New Jersey. This past season he scored four touchdowns on offense and picked off a pass on defense. He starred at quarterback and safety at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, but a series of injuries led him to The Peddie School.

How does a kid attending "post-graduate" high school make it to the Air Force Academy? Who initiated his "let out of his Letter of Intent"? I thought there had to be some kind of extraordinary circumstances to be let out of a LOI.

What does "...a series of injuries led him to The Peddie School" mean?

Isn't it actually The Mani/Peddie School?

The process works differently for the service academies.

I imagine his LOI was conditional on being offered an appointment to the Academy. Apparently, he was not offered an appointment.

Typically, athletes who are not quite academically eligible for the admittance to the academies but borderline are offered the opportunity to attend the service academy's prep school, where they essentially receive remedial math and English instruction, as well as play sports. They still must go through the regular application process for the academies and most, but not all are offered appointments.

Thanks that makes a lot more sense .

Here is the verbiage from the Air Force Academy website.

"Many high school student-athletes will participate in signing days and appear to sign a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with the Air Force Academy, but they are actually signing a Certificate of Intent which is a non-binding agreement that signifies an athlete's commitment to follow through with the appointment process and allows them to participate in signing day for publicity purposes."

Nardouche is actually a mystical and talented recruiter. According to The Lair, anyone who snags a blue chip recruit has a "bag man." Pitt, being a "high character" institution, doesn't play that game. LOL, a laugh a minute over there. A recent recruit's story by Peak......acclaims " I always wanted to go to Pitt."
