Pitt fans are so funny sometimes. They get on us for not wanting to play them, but then turn around and don't play WVU, and their reasoning is the exact same reason we don't play Pitt. They say it doesn't do their program any benefits to let WVU into the WPIAL area and acknowledge their program as relevant.
What they don't get is that that same excuse is the reason we don't want to play them - no reason to give their program unneeded publicity and relevance.
This was one of their suggestions, pretty hilarious:
PITT will play WVU every year but WVU must play at PITT 2 to 1 at Heinz Field.
And
PITT will play Penn State every year 1 at Beaver Stadium, 1 at Heinz Field and 1 at ""Neutral"" WVU Stadium and all proceeds shared by Pitt & Penn State at that game?
So Pitt is so superior to WVU that they play twice at Heinz, but we're even with them except for some pointless neutral game in the middle of nowhere in west virgina? It makes absolutely no sense, except to a Pitt fan I guess.
