Pitt had a "Yellow Out" for their Spring Game

Of course, the pitt athletic supporters who make their way to Happy Valley for the game in September will find some way to attack the gameday atmosphere. It will naturally require the usual delusion on their part.

Exactly why we shouldn't play them. When only one team gains anything, the game shouldn't happen. Financially we made their season for them...why would we want to help them like that? Their numbers and $$ will be way down this year...but they can ride through until next year when we save their ass again.

It will be too loud...they're not used to that.

Henderson was also just a Sophomore and 3 Star Recruit and actually out gained Barkley in All Purpose Yards! Like DC posted he is better! I was being kind not mentioning it!
No crap he had more all purpose yards because he returned kicks. Even a mediocre return man can gain 15 without even having to break a tackle or make a move. When you return kicks for the team with the 106 ranked scoring defense who gives up an average 35.2 points per games you are going to get a lot of return. Henderson had a pathetic 917 yards from scrimmage. Barkley had 1,898 yards from scrimmage.

The NFL draft next year will be a surprise to them. Q won't come out. Barkley will be a top 10 pick. How will they spin that?

Here's one that really rankles some of the Pitt fans I talk with:
On any given fall Saturday when both teams are playing at home, there are more people who live closer to the Pitt campus than PSU in Beaver Stadium than there is total attendance at Heinz.
In other words, one of the multitude of activities that keep people from attending Pitt games is attending Penn State games.

Wow, that's really pathetic!

The fastest team in the NCAA.. All World-Americans.. All NFL bound.. All NFL Hall of Fame bound!

Q.Henderson better than Barkley.. blah blah.. Their punter better than Barkley.. blah blah.. The Duzz better than the carnival barker.. blah blah..

Recruiting or OMGstarz doesn't matter.. blah blah.. No reason to choose the cults over the mighty fighting panthers.. blah blah..

Wait, am I doing this right Capt Sid? I mean I talked about a whole bunch of nothing in 3 paragraphs annddd I used crayons! Hey, I also underlined a couple of "un-key" words (just made that up.. like you do).

P.S. - I mean seriously.. As someone mentioned earlier, those kids are working so damn hard for their school and their alums have no gawd damn pride. These kids have no support from their fan base. Its really sad!

Guess what.. Pitt isn't it! In fact, Pitt is SHIT!

Of course, there will be a great crowd at the Blue-White Game because, you know, we all live in State College and walk out our front door over to Beaver Stadium. The majority of Penn Staters stay in State College after graduation.

Not enough spelling and grammatical errors.

On signing day, that translated to a total rout of Pitt on the recruiting trail. Fourteen Nits signees chose Penn State over offers from the Panthers, according to Rivals offer sheets. Just three recruits picked Narduzzi’s program over offers from Penn State.

Penn State similarly dominated previous cycles under Franklin, but that was before the Panthers won bragging rights on the field. One would imagine Pitt would get some kind of boost from that.

Instead, the winds have continued to blow hard in Penn State’s favor. In fact, the Nits already are way out in front on the 2018 cycle. With the commitments Friday of Woodbridge, Va., running back Ricky Slade and Erie, Pa., linebacker Jesse Luketa, Penn State has pledges from six prospects who also hold offers from Pitt. The Panthers, meanwhile, have yet to secure a commitment of any kind, let alone one with an offer from Penn State.

That, my friends, is domination.

If that’s how things are going to go in the year after a Penn State loss against Pitt, it’s hard to imagine Narduzzi making headway when the Nits return the favor.

And they certainly appear poised to.

A Nits victory is by no means assured, even as this game will take place in Happy Valley. You have to figure, though, that Penn State will be a pretty heavy favorite to beat its rival for the first time since 1999.

If that happens, then what? Will Pitt win a single recruiting battle head-to-head against Penn State? The last year paints a pretty grim picture. Perhaps Narduzzi has a surprise or two up his sleeve again.

But for now, it appears not even a dramatic win at home can turn the Panthers into a long-term threat to Penn State’s superiority in the Commonwealth.

It's true I mean why not say to Narduzzi you wanna brag about 42-39 well we can brag about a Big Ten title and Adam makes a good point ....

Or MAYBE Akron won't get 107k in the stands, Pitt will since more alumni remember and care about that game than current students and you'd rather have a celebration in front of more people instead of less. I mean I understand they don't get that at Pitt since they're used to having small crowds for everything but still. Not fully hard to understand.

My favorite part is where he talks about how Narduzzi is trying to use the results of the game to make hay on the recruiting trail, but the results at this point are "questionable". No they're not, the results are obvious...they lost ground since beating us. How is that questionable? Players want to play for championships, not just one game (but they have their key chains).

Little brother personified in print. They care more about one game and being our "rival", we care more about championships. I wouldn't trade their program or season for ours. And we'll still deck them the next 3 anyway.

Is this the guy that asked about Pitt at Franklin's introductory press conference as PSU head coach? Little. Brother.

What really stood out to me on that video was the jaw dropping speed their entire team displayed while running on to the field. That's not just Alabama type speed, that's NFL level speed. If I had to judge just based on that clip alone, I would say Coach Narduzzi has assembled the greatest team in the history of CFB.
C'mon, those flag carriers had a big head start and most, well some, of the football team seemed to be gaining on them.

ESPN's Power Football Index actually is predicting Pitt will have a losing record this season....

http://www.espn.com/college-football/statistics/teamratings

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.

RK TEAM W-L PROJ W-L WIN OUT% CONF WIN% REM SOS RK FPI
8 Penn State, Big Ten 0-0 9.9 - 2.2 2.0 7.2 61 18.9
44 Pitt, ACC 0-0 5.8 - 6.3 0.0 0.7 29 4.3

That should get the hot seat pretty warm for Narduzzi , amirite? Losing season in his third year? Can't recruit. Horrible defense. What's the future look like?

He's pretty close to a losing record overall... fortunetly for him he had those lucky wins last season.
