He made the diagnosis public yesterday. His Doctors say this disease has a cure rate of 85% to 95%. I am an esophageal cancer survivor, but wasn't diagnosed until I was 46. It is a shame that this young man has to fight cancer at such a young age. In his case the cure rate is high, but anyone who has gone down this path still experiences a wide range of emotional distress and anxiety. While I am not a Pitt fan, despite living in the 'burgh for the past 35 years, the game of football suddenly becomes much less important when compared to being diagnosed with cancer. I wish James and his family well and I will certainly be keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. SIAP.
