Sure, the Oscar is a fine award, but nothing tops being crowned 'The Hottest' by the BWI McAndrew Board Academy of Babe Sciences and Hotness. Anyway, tried to keep this poll to ladies who were on the red carpet for a purpose - not because they're models and famous (looking at you Karlie Kloss). Serious oversight on my part; Amy is represented in the 'Vanity Fair Party' poll. But, competition there is uh, much stiffer.....

Not the best Red Carpet we've seen at the Academy Awards over the years. So I decided to take some time to think about it before casting my vote.

In the end, I opted for Brie Larson to win, Taraji P. Henson to place, and Salma Hayek to show.

I really went back and forth between Larson and Henson. In the end, I decided Larson's classic look was the winner.

I would have included Amy Adams in the poll, but you rectified that by including her in the Vanity Fair poll.

And my apologies for indicating in the Vanity Fair poll that you should have included Salma Hayek in the Red Carpet poll. Brain fart on my part, as you did include her.

A couple of others that caught my eye in the red carpet show before the Academy Awards:

Ruth Negga:

Not a super curvy figure, but Neega may have been the classiest looking lady on the red carpet. The Mozambique rubies in her head piece went very nicely with her red dress.

Also, Teresa Palmer caught my eye when she was on the red carpet.

As for the individuals that you did include that I did not vote for, here's my take:

Emma Stone -- a nice dress; nice appearance ... she was under consideration for a vote

Alicia Vikander -- did very little for me. She had a classic look, but I didn't find it all that appealing on her

Scarlett Johansson -- hard to believe I didn't vote for her, considering how attractive I find her. The dress did nothing, and what the heck did she do with her hair? What a waste of so much potential

Charlize Theron -- another disappointment. So much with which to work, and nothing captivating about her Red Carpet appearance

Jessica Biel -- drop dead gorgeous, and she wore a dress that minimized her two best assets. Another one I would have expected to be in the running for first place that really disappointed

Chrissy Teigen -- not a bad look, and she probably came in 4th in my final evaluation

Hailee Steinfeld -- didn't much care for the dress or the hairstyle.
