My St Joe’s buddies wanted him gone several years ago.
And Joe Crispin as a candidate? Give me a break. He’s not even close to being ready for a Big Ten job.
Don’t think I’d want him after he was fired at his last two jobs. I’d be good with an Amaker/Dawkins/Donahue type that was fired once, but think Clark would be very poorly received after the Miami and TA&MCC performances.
Jim Ferry is one of the five...pretty sure he’s interested.
It’s a step up for Amaker, but he could wait for a better gig. Also an obvious step up for Martelli, but I questioned if it’s one he’d even want at this point. (If we wanted him, which I wouldn’t)
Still a pretty attractive job in the grand scheme of things to the right type of candidates.

unbelievable. I joked about Joe Crispin floating his own name for the job and here we are. That would be about twice as bad as the Ed DeChellis hire, and that was bad.
Martelli would have been a great hire if this was the year 2000 instead of 2020. The Collegian now thinks this would be a home run.

Not going to happen. He is going to be leaving under a lot of allegations of wrongdoing. He won't land anywhere for a few years. We still don't know exactly why Chambers got fired, but it was something, and that makes it even more likely that PSU would not go there.
They touched Franklin when he was involved with that rape case. PSU MBB is a doormat, no one would care if he lands there. But to your point Sandy doesn’t have the balls to do it.
We wouldn’t have hired Franklin if he was caught paying players...the thought of hiring Miller right now is asinine.
The NCAA may impose a show-cause penalty on him in which case no schools will hire him.

Not all of the teams have a G league affiliate yet. They need all of the teams to have one. Denver has been holding out for who knows what reason
Go play in Europe then. They want it both ways, to get paid and play in the US. No market for minor league sports in US.
I highly doubt Jon Scheyer would be interested, but I'm sure people thought the same recently about Woj to Marquette and Collins to Northwestern. Scheyer is an A+ recruiter, albeit much easier to do so at Duke. He's got experience with USA basketball. He's young and very well respected in the sport.
