One of the most amazing things about PSU in the sanctions era (which in my mind ended after the 2018 season) is the fact that we never suffered a losing season after sanctions were imposed.
Just for grins and giggles, here's a list of Power 5 schools that had losing seasons in the 2012-18 period.
Arizona (2), Arizona State (2), Arkansas (4), Auburn, Baylor, Boston College (2), California (5), Colorado (6), Duke, Florida (2), Florida State, Georgia Tech (2), Illinois (7), Indiana (7), Iowa, Iowa State (5), Kansas (7), Kansas St (2), Kentucky (4), Louisville, Maryland (5), Miami , Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota (3), Mississippi (2), Mississippi St (2), Missouri, NC State, Nebraska (3), North Carolina (3), Northwestern (2), Notre Dame, Oregon, Oregon St (5), Pitt (3), Purdue (5), Rutgers (5), South Carolina (2), Syracuse (4), TCU (2), Tennessee (4), Texas (3), Texas Tech (3), UCLA (3), USC, Utah (2), Vanderbilt (5), Virginia (6), Virginia Tech, Wake Forest (4), Washington State (3), West Virginia
I probably missed some of these teams and got others wrong, but the list is amazing nevertheless.
