Writer's Note: Franklin does not get a free pass on his abysmal record knocking off top 10 teams and his inability to beat the two favored nations. However, this season has been a solid one that we should feel good about to build for the future.

This has happened before with the rating services. 2008 comes to mind. They had Wisky rated way ahead of us until we went up to Camp Randall and thumped them 48-7. The year before was pretty much the same way until we beat them 38-7 at the Beav. Get no respect.

This is why you don't determine Championships via the opinion of non-participants which have no bearing on the outcome and tinged with massive amounts of bias. Championships, and the opportunity to advance to play for championships, should be determined on the field of play by the combatants, not by the opinions of non-participants.
