I’m still shocked we faked that punt. Not only is it a huge win, but hopefully it makes Franklin realize, hey maybe it’s better to play to win instead of playing not to lose. Playing to win, wins championships.
I thoroughly enjoyed the results of the play.
I only like the play call if we have identified a weakness in what our opponent is doing and felt that it was a vulnerability that gave us a high probability of success.
If we were just attempting to do it randomly in hope of catching them off guard, I would not be for trying it at that that juncture of the game. It appears that the special teams' 'QB' and walk on Dom did an admirable job in calling and executing the play.
The special teams were in need of redemption, and they provided it with that play. ST needs to fix their problems. It's too late in the year to be having those type of blocking assignment and punting breakdowns.
