Anyone have a feeling?

Brands likes to start at 125, but I’d like to see Hall-Kemerer open the duel, and Cenzo-Bull close it.

Plus it would get Brooks and Shak out early, hopefully putting some early pressure on Iowa.

I agree it helps us to start almost anywhere else but 125. However, historically Cael has shown little interest in utilizing the start point as a tool. He appears to be a traditionalist and just prefers to start at 125. It'll be interesting to see if that changes if he has a choice.

It'll probably be chalk, but wouldn't it be fun if we started with 141 and got a solid win with maybe a bonus point. Then got a wave going with Cenzo, Hall, and AB and ended up with a 15-15 or 14-15 match going into RBY and Desanto? I think the more pressure on AD, the better it is for RBY. It would be fun.

A little early in the morning to be dropping f-bombs.;)

I think closing with either RBY or Cenzo would be F@#!

125 is best place to start. I think Spencer would be more inclined to go for 6 later in the dual if Iowa needed it.
That's just one point. To pull the upset we need 6 point swings from RBY/AB/Shak/Snacks. We need 3 of those 4. Then a single point from 125 won't matter. But I do think you are correct that if Lee wrestled late in a close duel, he would do everything possible to get the fall.

Including swords and pistols.

Doubtful but has there been any confirmation on Berge or Pipher tonight? Would be awesome if Berge is truly ready. A win at 57 is a game changer.

In this dual...Lee will work hard for that pin regardless of when he wrestles. And I can’t see any reason TB wouldn’t want to start at 125. If Lee was our 125 I would never want to start anywhere else.

Also, on the other side, we want our less dominant guys to go earlier when there is still less pressure on them, and before they have tired themselves with nerves.

Start at 25 and forfeit it just to piss off the Hawk fans. ;):p

To circle back to a conversation in a different thread from earlier this week ... start at 125 and have Meredith immediately back out of bounds every time Lee tries to tie up with him. Meredith will be DQ'd for stalling and Iowa will get 6 points, but Lee will no longer have a 100 percent bonus rate, and Mark Hall's Hodge candidacy will be strengthened.

Now my serious answer: I'll bet the coaches are doing what they can to treat this like any other dual. I think that means taking the same posture toward the starting weight that they always take.

Plus I don't think 125 is a bad place to start from a PSU perspective. The most reasonable path to victory involves RBY beating DeSanto. Taking two of the first three bouts would be a pretty nice way to start the dual.
