PSU @ Ok State: Will it be televised? FS1? BTN?

So Okie State is making money from Flo. That is fine. Then what is PSU getting out of this match with Okie State? Are they getting have the Pay per view money Okie State is getting with this? That would be like saying that Big Ten network has a deal with PSU so they are broadcasting the Rose Bowl on PPV only. If Okie State wants to sell their rights for conference and OOC home dual schedule, that seems fine. But the NWCA is a tournament type arrangement that should not fall in that jurisdication and be something else. Seems like PSU is getting the raw end of the deal.

Last year's event aired live on BTN, a pay service that generates far more revenue for PSU (> $32 MM annually) than anything Okie State receives. Last year Okie State fans needed to pay, this year we do. Nobody is getting a raw deal here.

The coaches and ADs speak of a want to grow the sport . This agreement is just plain stupid. It should be on a free service preferably TV. Kids won't listen to radio, a lot of seniors don't have Web. Grow the sport, which will increase viewers which in turn will increase advertisement revenue. They are using the supply and demand economic principle which is the opposite of how the MMA initially grew.

Flo is really ambiguous as to what you're signing up for. They advertise $12.50/month($150 yearly) just like that. That doesn't tell you how you're going to be billed. I assumed I would be billed monthly here since the $150 was in parenthesis. That was not the case and I was billed $150. When I canceled my membership it just told me that it would cancel in February of 2018, meaning that I would still be paying for a year, and just not renewing the service.

This is a REALLY poor way to do business. However, once I contacted Flo and explained what I wanted to do, which was pay monthly, they immediately switched my account to monthly, set it to cancel after the first month automatically, and are refunding the difference. I haven't gotten it refunded yet but I'm curious to see if they charge me the $12.50 or the $20. They did not tell me which in the e-mail.

It will probably be $30.

Don't know if this is just the State College location or if it includes Bellefonte.

It's not on TV, but you can still watch it at Home D! Watch #PSUWrestling vs OK. State here Sunday at 4pm! Any size pizza $10.99 all day!

A friend of mine just told me about a free sports streaming site called Wiziwig.com. He said they carry almost all NFL games and it is great because you can watch west coast games that you normally do not get to watch. I will try to post a link so you can check it out. The big question is I don’t know if they will be streaming the match on Sunday but I will give it a look see.

Floor has the rights, so it is what it is. Have they helped the sport? Absolutely they have. If they had better quality, I'd be all in. However, networks are a much better way to promote the sport, because they have quality viewing.

Wrestling viewing reminds me of the 3 Day Rolex. NBC Sports went all in and didn't get the ratings. Now it's all online, except 1 hour on the final Sunday. In the end, Flo is doing what's best for Flo. That's kind of the point of business. Stick figures it is. Lol.

I decided to sign up for FLO to watch the match today. First, I clicked join now. Step one was to create a username and password. Step two was to select a subscription plan. The only one listed was 12.50 / month ($150 yearly). I found this to be ridiculous because it's misleading that you are actually paying for a year with a 12.50 per month average. This was already stated above. But also, they aren't even listing the monthy plan for $30 in order to make you think that the yearly is the only option. But because it's the only one there, it appears that it is 12.50 a month.

So, I didn't sign up for a subscription at that point. I just logged in with my userid and wen to my account and then subcriptions. At this point, it did list 2 options, yearly for 150 or monthy for 30. So I got the $30 option. That's just dirty that they are hiding that initially.

So, then my brother in north carolina wants to see it. So I warned him that you won't see the monthly option initially. He did what I did. Got to the subscription page and his options were 12.50 per month (150 yearly) OR $20 per month. That's right, $20.

So, they have to be checking our location. Why would he get it for $20 today and I got it for $30 yesterday other than I live in State College?

To me, this match is worth $30, I pay more for UFCs but FLO has handled this very poorly. They are gauging for a one time gain rather than thinking long term.

You are right, but for how long. Cable cutters are growing by large numbers. Honestly I only have cable for live sports.
Flo drops the ball all the time. If they did reduce the price to $10 where they should be at, they probably wouldn't be able to handle the all the new subscribers. The Taylor vs Dake match will be an everlasting issue for me. Never saw it live due to congestion and after cancellation I was continually charged and never received a full refund.
To add insult to injury, CP says on twitter that people that complain about the cost probably have their moms paying their cable bill. I was providing cable for my mother the last few years of her life. I'll be my own judge of where I waste my money, thank you.

BTN is not much better, only in price and when I cancel it's truly cancelled. Humorous to see the flo guys complain about it though. Shoe is on the other foot.

On the other hand, if you provide me with a stable 720p+ stream w/no ads, no login issues, no idiot screaming, android support and honest cancellation I'll pay $20 in season. Until then.... well you know what you can do.

Edit: If it's true that PSU fans are paying $30 not $20 then that's pathetic.
If you want to sign up, try using Tor browser or a VPN that would save you $10

FWIW, I live in Michigan, and I was offered $30 option.
But, I went through an ad on Google advertising the PSU-OSU match, so maybe that was why I didn't get $20 option.

Look at the scuffle this year. Many people had trouble getting the feed to work. If it craps out you are not getting a refund.
Paid up getting nothing. Last chance for flow. As usual it will be my fault and user error. Done with flow. Last chace
