Did you catch RBY hold his fingers together an inch apart to tell Gross he was just an inch away from taking that match?
RBY definitely looks stronger to me this year. Esp. the last two weeks. Going to be even more FUN to watch.
This just in! Flo dropped RBY to #15 after that match.
Not sure why Roman took every shot but one in this match, but Gross never got hit with a stall.
Regardless, Roman was the better wrestler tonight by a clear margin for me. Only one terrific counter by Gross was all he had. I have not had the thought in my head all season that Roman can win the NC. After tonight, I absolutely believe he can. Just need a better plan in March when he gets to Gross's legs.

They weren't takedowns. RBY came close a few times (at least) but Gross was saved by his funk and length - was always able to grab ankle, arm, whatever, to stave off the TDs.
Good match though. RBY is right there.

Credit to El-Jefe. His prediction was spot-on. Gross had one big move and it was enough to win the match. Barely.

The good news is: RBY has now seen Gross' best. There will be no familiarization, no bag of tricks the next time.

Moran with a roll and he's out, 6-1. Moran tried a high crotch, nearly got countered but Lee tripped, nothing. Moran in on a single, Lee locks a leg, works around and gets the TD, 8-1. Moran is flat.
