So, to any objective viewer, barring injuries (knock on wood), we are the overwhelming favorite to win it all with Schnupp at 125. We don't need Teske or Teasdale to win it.

That said, do people think that Cael would prefer to NOT redshirt both of them this season? Purely for lineup formulations going forward.

Of course this is all speculation and we will know the answer soon, but what the Hell, it's a slow week.

What do people think?

Gavin by far.....He will be working out with Zain and other ELITES everyday....That's an easy one....

I feel like both guys have been told they'll have a shot to earn a starting spot, based on scuffle performance. But since it's not clear exactly what Teasdale's "waiver" request really is and means, that may not be the case. I for one will be happy to root for Schnupp to do better than expected (though obviously, scoring points at NCAAs is a steep climb for him.).

No way RBY redshirts next year. The whole reason for the ASU home and home was for RBY to wrestle in front of home crowd

Ditto on RBY. No idea how 125 will play out and not sure Cael, etal know either at this point.

I don’t see any impetus for the burning of a redshirt at the moment...unless it is the only way to avoid a wrestler losing a year of wrestling due to two eligible wrestlers at the same weight, Shakur/Cassar for example but there are plenty of others.

We can win without 125 and while wins will be hard to come by, Schnupp is improving and showing fight to the end of a match. Those are qualities Cael likes and rewards when he can.

My selfish side says lets get as many points as possible. I just hope the choice is made with Teasdales and Teskes future aspirations and goals in mind. With this staff, I have no doubt that every option will be laid out and discussed thoroughly. It is a decision that potentially affects 133 as well as future recruiting. Im confident Cael and company will handle it perfectly

Wish both would get some tourney matches in. Im curious as to what GT is weighing, I would think if this is the only year he can hold 125, he would be the most beneficial choice long-term-team-wise.

Not to mention, if GT shirts this year, cant make 25 next year, and RBY doesnt RS next year (as seems to be the consesus guess) someone’s gonna be spectatin’.

I think it is all highly dependent on whether or not Gavin is granted a waiver and can greyshirt. If that’s the case then I think Schnupp is the guy. Gavin will still have 4 to compete five and will RS next year with Teske going at 125. That would seperate Gavin and Brody by a year.

Wish granted

Cael rolls with these decisions. Doubt he feels strongly, one way or the other. Wrestlers have a big say.

Would love for PSU to make a run at the championship point total. 125lb placer and points scorer could put them in the realm of possibility. Cael will do what’s best.. but what a beautiful thought! Mine tried to change Cael to Carl too!

Cheers all and Happy New Year !

Teske + GT + RBY.

.... and Howard is a-comin’

Got to burn a redshirt - can’t have all that money locked up, despite the Slush Fund.

This is one thing I don't think a lot of opposing fans understand. Sure, Cael has a plan but in the end the wrestler's input is probably weighed more than people think.
