Did the NCAA ever comment on either (or both) of those 1970's allegations?

Neither was in the Freeh report. Emmert and the NCAA took the Freeh as Gospel and used it as (ahem) proof to lay down those Draconian penalties.

So, why didnt Emmert bring MORE sanctions after those two allegations were made public? I find it odd that no one from the NCAA commented. Or did they?

Why would they ignore those allegations and take Freeh's (ahem) opinions as Gospel?

The damn PSU administration should have spoken up and immediately refuted the ludicrous nature of the allegation. The premise/situation simply WAS NOT TRUE. There were no communal showers. How PSU lawyers let that go unchallenged is, well, ...

I guess it is par for the course.
