Right now there is no better team in baseball.
They are playing like they are a championship team. They just ripped the heart of the best team in baseball back to back days before the All Star Break. You can see that the Pirates think they are the best in the game now.
They definitely feel it. Nice payback for the three extra inning losses in St. Louis.
What a difference between 6.5 back and 2.5 back heading into the break.
Speaking of the break, I don't know if the Bucs need one, but I sure do! I'm mentally wrecked after these past two nights.

They have picked up 7 games on the Cards in just over 2 weeks. Amazing.
Imagine if this team didn't wait until May to start playing...they'd be going into the break as the chasee rather than the chaser. Still, tip of the cap...they are currently en fuego.
I was thinking the same thing. Have no voice after being there last last night. Just lost it again at home tonight.
You know, lost in all of this was how big that inning ending play Walker made turned out to be.
Walker has turned his season around. I admit I was down on the guy but he has won me over.

Well, right now it's hard to find fault with any of the guys. It's certainly a feel good story. Neil could have packed it in at that point, but he showed what a pro he is.
The relay to the plate and the Walker diving catch were two huge plays. STL could have scored 1-2 more runs there if not for the two plays.
I thought about turning it off at 5-3...stupid I know,
Ii was tempted myself, but this is looking more and more like a team of destiny.
After their low point in the season (18-22), they've gone 35-13 and are now am amazing......53-35!

At least you didn't fall asleep like I did and miss the end of the game. At least I have the MLB package so I could watch the last inning.
The only travesty is that Caminaro pitches only one inning; pitches the worst inning and gets the win.
