Who has it?

Do they want revenge for us beating them last year?

Do we want revenge because we beat them and yet they went to the playoffs? Or maybe because we just man-handled a great defense, are ranked 4 spots higher than them and STILL are almost a TD dog to them this weekend?

Or does none of this matter?

I never got this, TBT. I guess it is because PSU won last year because OSU got to the playoffs. The revenge factor, if it exists, should be with us.

I think the whole revenge factor thing is a little overplayed. It might have a little bit of use as a motivator before the game actually starts, but it isn't a factor once the game gets going. At that point it is playing sound football on either side of the line of scrimmage.

But, to answer your question, I think both sides have a legitimate reason for revenge: tOSU for having been beaten and PSU for having been left out of the playoff.

We both do. Bill Connelly (the S&P+ analytics guy) addressed just that on his Wednesday podcast.

What we have is one sibling who earned something that their parents took away from them to give to the other. How is the kid that was given something that they didn't deserve out for revenge? Let the parents put them back in a room together and see who ends up with the item in question.
