Seeding next year

what about re-seeding after every round?
Please no. Conel wins round 1, goes straight to Moore then Darmstadt, Haught, and Macchiavello in order? Perry beats Sorensen, gets Zain next?

That would take a lot of the fun out of the tournament. Would also make the brackets difficult for fans to follow.

It would also greatly tilt the tourney toward the powers, and hopefully the smaller schools don't get the idea they can't even compete at the individual level.

Most likely, he's eligible to be reappointed because he replaced Patnesky more than halfway into his term. Wille was also a replacement (for Col. Brian Hill, Air Force, who got reassigned), but he's not eligible to be reappointed, because Hill was only one year into his term. (Tom Ryan was actually a replacement for UNI AD Troy Dannen, who never even got to select March Matness, having taken the Tulane job about three months into his term)

I wouldn't even consider re-seeding after every round, but I would suggest looking into (not sure I'd do it, however) reseeding the backside after every session other than the first one (which wouldn't be viable, due to the lack of seeds in the backside at that point, and also pointless due to the lack of cross-bracketing at that stage).

I love the idea of re-seeding wrestlebacks.

Winners bracket should hold seeds,
But you get a lot of unfair / unfortunate situations in wrestlebacks with your tourney life / AA on the line.

Example 1 -

Zain’s freshman year .....
Beats everyone, including LStriebler ... undefeated season until B1G finals in toughest wrestling conference plus Scuffle - but loses to LS in semis.

What’s Zain’s punishment ? 1 seed Mitchell Port.

How is that fair ?

Zain & Port should have wrestled for 3rd ....
Not faced off in consy semi, with loser getting dumped to 5/6.

Would have to think about that.

The obvious downside is that it rewards the highest seeds who lose.
