The $290 Logan Luft Scholarship application is available to any wrestler who competed for his/her middle school wrestling team during the 2017/2018 school year.

The $250 Bill Bails Scholarship is geared to newer wrestlers. Applications are open to wrestlers who competed for their middle school team during the 2017/2018 school year AND have two years or less of competitive wrestling experience.

The Wrestling for Life Girls Wrestling Camp Scholarship application is available to any girl who is attending middle school during the 2017/2018 school year.

Recipients will be selected on the basis of academics (50%), wrestling accomplishments (40%) and community involvement (10%) and may use the scholarship at any camp(s) of his/her choosing. Applications are available until April 30. You may request one emailing jbrown@wrestlingforlife.org.

Done (another $250)

Thank you!
Your generosity will help keep the sport of wrestling alive by introducing the sport to kids and encouraging young people to participate. Wrestling fans everywhere are grateful.

I am pleased to announce that Alicia Serratos of Lake Forest, CA is the winner of the 2018 Wrestling for Life Bill Bails Wrestling Camp Scholarship.

A sixth grader at Fred Newhart Middle School, Alicia will receive $250 to help defray the costs of attending the camp of her choice. She is carrying a 3.9 GPA and is in her second year of wrestling. Her coach tells me that she is one of his most improved athletes and has become a leader in the room. She recently competed in her first all-girl event and won her weight class.

Alicia is a dynamo in her community. As a girl scout she has given over 100 hours of volunteer service in each of the last five years. She is the leading fundraiser for Play Well Africa, an organization that collects Legos for African children and has travelled to Uganda to help distribute the bricks.

From Alicia, "I want to succeed in wrestling and eventually get a scholarship to a great college and continue to wrestle. I want to become an Olympic Champion and set an example for others".

The scholarship is named for our friend, Bill Bails, a wrestling fan, retired educator and coach and a community activist.
