Name me the wrestler who majored Suriano a few months ago.

Hall twisted Marinelli into a pretzel a few months ago, but the Bull is going to waltz into a tough 165 as a true freshman and finish 3/4?

Hell, name me the last guy who scored 8 points on Nick

My friends and I sat right behind Gilman's Step-Dad, Mom, and Girlfriend (who is Mike Evans sister) during an away dual in WI (where I live) this past season and we made some conversation during the meet, at one point they showed us a picture of Mike Evans because one of my buddies had mentioned The stache. He had a pretty massive beard/stache combo and looked like a mountain man, pretty awesome lol. Although I'm not sure it its still quite that wild these days.

Got to love the off season. For a supposed knowledgeable fan base some of the posters are giddy with crazy expectactions on Marinelli and Kemmerer. Kids have no where to go but down with what some are expecting/hoping.

Kinda like Nolf and Nickal last year and to a lesser extent Suriano this year. Fandom should be expected.

Easy, bro. I don't disagree that a number of folks on HR have lost touch with reality; that's nothing new. But I've seen posts on this board suggesting that Suriano could make the NCAA final in 2017. I'd back off those expectations a bit, regardless of how few points he gives up.

Like someone else said, it's just fans being fans.

It would be the same if what was posted on here was Nick took Matt Brown down multiple times and than for good measure mused his face into the mat. Haven't seen that.
Can't compare Joseph to Marinelli. One has a year training in the room the other not so much.
Compare Joseph expectations to Kemmerer's - yeah some similarities.

Eh, I couldn't take it anymore and happened to be here at the time. I did "like" a few critical posts - so I've got that going for me.

There are always going to be room legends. Justin Wren was a very short order room legend in Ames for about an eye blink. Alex M. is flat out going to be a good one barring serious injury. Whipping up on Mike Evans in a real match right now.....very doubtful. Beating Kem or BS in the room? I could buy that. I would like to know how the goes between Hall and Bo are working out.

some of those guys do a disservice to the kids. anonymous posters cant separate preseason interweb banter with post season results regardless of the FACTS.

That being said if Nails doesnt make the finals and give gillman his toughest match of the season Ill eat Mr Ts 10g hat....

Marinelli will be a brute. Yes he lost to Hall, but imo thats 57 battling a 74. Hall will be making a lot of D-1 wrestlers look much worse than Alex did. (Fyi That spladle was nasty)..

Actually, there were a lot of critical posts. One guy says Marinelli is beating Brooks (haha) and that becomes the narrative over here. I think he was just repeating Evans but got Brooks in there somehow. As for Evans, Big Fall said they had all wrestled a bunch of goes and that at the end of practice, Marinelli and Evans went at it with Marinelli taking him down all three times. That could just be conditioning...

Fandom is to be expected. However the Iowa fans who set these expectations will be disappointed IMO. No one even knows until probably after Midlands if Marinelli is a go.
