Well, if he couldn’t keep his spot from Dan Chisena, how was he going to start next season with the guys coming off redshirts and the WR’s in the 2020 class ?

As tosu has proven with Fields, it’s gonna change the way coaches recruit as well.

Incredible. So you drop a bunch of passes and think it's in no way your fault so you go in the portal and some other program who completely ****ed up their WR recruiting takes a chance on him. The only downside to this portal is it lets top teams who could not recruit a position to save their lives (cough, Michigan and OSU QB) get bailed out.
He's going to OSU. He has been close with Fields for awhile and went on the record saying someone like him would be a dream QB.
He knocked down more passes than some of our DB’s.

Fields would be gone by the time he's eligible to play at OSU. Doubt he'd start for them anyway, LSU,Bama and OU will lose a lot of receivers to the NFL.
This may be good news that KJ Hamler may be coming back next season. If that is true, Shorter must see the writing on the wall that he will be 3rd/4th receiver and he will try his luck elsewhere.
