Snubbed implies that we deserved a bid. We did not, based on our entire body of work. It is much tougher to secure a bid than it was a few years ago when teams were picked solely based on who would draw the biggest crowds. Teams that win their conference during the regular season are now guaranteed an NIT bid, if they don't get an NCAA invite. If we had beaten Purdue I think a bid was a possibility, but the 4-14 conference record was going to make things tough.

Absolutely. 18-16 and just 6 wins since January 1st. Not good enough.
