OK, I'm trying to figure this whole thing out. Let me just throw this out there and let me know if ANY of these assumptions or statements are way off base. Here goes:

1. Nick Lee and his family want him to wrestle this year and pull the shirt. This is just a pure guess on my part. Anyone, who can shed more light on this one, please clarify.
2. Nick Lee beat Cortez something like 14-1 in a wrestle off and beats him "in the rooms" with some consistency.
3. Nick Lee has a more aggressive, point-scoring style that may result in more bonus point potential for our team at Nationals.
4. Nick Lee has to wait and see about the injury status of Jered Cortez before he knows whether he will have the opportunity to wrestle that some might say he has already earned.

Whaddya think? Way off on any of this? Close to the truth? What am I missing?

Cael is no dummy. He likes to be secretive but he and his staff KNOW PSU needs Lee in the lineup. Even before Cortez got hurt, it’s obvious we need every point we can get, and Lee was replacing Cortez. I just do not see any scenario where Lee does not wrestle. Well actually the only one would be if Lee himself or his family wanted him to redshirt. Not trying to sound mean but the reality is Cortez will get no bonus and might win a match or two at best. Lee has a lot more potential to win more matches and definitely get some bonus points.

Clearly there is another guy on the trip. 5 backups and 10 starters. If Cortez is not wrestling then either Gardner or Lee is wrestling. I tend to think the only reason Lee won't wrestle is that Lee and the family may have not given the OK. Remember.....Mark didn't wrestle until his dad gave him the OK to burn his redshirt. The one difference with Lee is that he has been in the room over a year now. I would be pretty surprised if Lee doesn't go tonight. Astute analysis or wishful thinking?? Yeah....the second one

So do we know who the 15 wrestlers that were on the trip? We had our 10 starters, Cassar, Cutch, Verkleeren, Gardner, Kuhn? I thought we had someone else go as well and wouldn’t that make 16. I think I recall hearing Lopez went as well
