I am still pissed about the refs...but that aside...is there any tougher place to play for us than Kinnick? It is always a dang nail biter that goes to the very end. Their players play us tough every time.
The Shoe and the Big House. At least we can win at Kinnick.I am still pissed about the refs...but that aside...is there any tougher place to play for us than Kinnick? It is always a dang nail biter that goes to the very end. Their players play us tough every time.
The difference is this...on paper and in recruiting, we would expect to have tougher time at big house or the shoe. I still think back to that game where we were undefeated in what 2008 and lost to iowa at kinnick. The Shoe and the Big House. At least we can win at Kinnick.
Just saying...we usually recruit at like 30 spots higher than Iowa....yet somehow they almost always beat us. with Ohio and scUM you can expect them to have equal if not slightly better talent....but Michigan's big house is quiet and is not a tough place to play.Since we manage to beat them six consecutive years I’d have to say there are tougher places to play than Iowa.
refs were pure shit....a big flaming pile of shit.some respect for Iowa....not for their fans or their Refs...

Game plan was fine. With better (non-biased) referees, we win 21-3.Iowa fans are a delusional fanbase. With a better offensive game plan (i.e.: establish the run with Cain) and a better corner, we win 21-0.
game should not have been as close...but refs certainly helped them.Game plan was fine. With better (non-biased) referees, we win 21-3.

Yeah didn't want to talk about this before the game but PSU has like 52 4stars or better on the roster. Iowa has 7. So purely on talent it should be no contest. But Iowa always punches above its weight.
Young talent that as it ages will widen the gap.Yeah didn't want to talk about this before the game but PSU has like 52 4stars or better on the roster. Iowa has 7. So purely on talent it should be no contest. But Iowa always punches above its weight.
Agree, The Big House can get deafening at times. 115,000 strong !!!!The Shoe and the Big House. At least we can win at Kinnick.
Nail biting was caused by refs to recruiting.Keep recruiting like we are and the nail biting will fade
No, they don’t. 6 straight wins against them is evidence of that.
It also helped that IA returned 2 of their best DL starters to the lineup last evening. UM did not face that DL when they played IA.
did not know. Thanks for some context

Not what was stated by the game announcers at the beginning and during the game. But I supposed they could have been wrong, or maybe you are wrong. I don’t know anything about Iowa’s lineup.Actually it was only 1. Reiff #91. But the DL for Iowa did play well last night, not on them. Our LBs and Ss had a rough game tackling.
We also got back our #1 starting corner #8 Hankins.
Typical for a guy who predicted something like 42-12. Some people will never respect Iowa even though the evidence is right in front of their face.
Good game by PSU's young QB after the initial environment being a little unnerving for him (completely understandable). I thought it would affect him even more, but kudos to him and the coaches for calling some better plays to settle him down.
Iowa needed to punch the ball into the endzone and NOT miss the FG attempt after a nice drive ... The injury to our left guard (ACL) was not known to me until yesterday before the game ... that was a huge blow since #54 just abused our backup left guard. He was a great fit with G-M and the other DE. That DL was almost as good as Miss State's from last year.
Good luck next week, I would think you should handle Michigan at home.
Bingo...that is my point. They definitely punch above their weight.Yeah didn't want to talk about this before the game but PSU has like 52 4stars or better on the roster. Iowa has 7. So purely on talent it should be no contest. But Iowa always punches above its weight.

I respect Iowa the team. I’d be furious with Ferentz though were I unfortunately born an Iowa fan; the guy has 3 offensive plays and makes zero adjustments. Playing not to lose and forcing the other team into mistakes with the way he recruits is a recipe for a bunch of meaningless 8 win seasons. Seen that movie before. He’s also won nothing of note. Sounds like his sh*thead son is your next coach too, nice job!
Thankfully those days are over around here. I’d be surprised if you win any of the next 3 (how/why do we play you so often), but maybe you’ll dink and dunk your way into one during a magical 9 win season for you.
I think you are little off on the KF comments. He runs a clean program and donates millions to charity and represents Iowa well. There are some things more important than winning a bunch of football games, so we will agree to disagree on him.
Iowa won the Big 10 in 2002 and 2004, were top 10 in the polls 2003. Not bad. 2015 ran the table for an undefeated season, lost by an eyelash to MSU in the Big 10 title game. Those are pretty good accomplishments. We are not a CFB blue blood, so we don't expect to be in the CFB playoff hunt each and every year. PSU isn't right now either ... you got a chance this year, but I don't think you match up well vs OSU or Wisconsin (if you get that far). We'll see ...

Aldan said: "We are a blue blood and always will be. Top 10 program of all-time. No backwards-ass Midwest flyover logic ever changes that.
Keep hating and enjoy your 9 win ceiling. I couldn’t care less about you or your program; once me and my school and family and fan base were abused and for the sins and lumped in with a pedophile by yours and others, I stopped caring about you all completely. F off already.
"
Overreact much? I wasn't saying anything bad about PSU ... but now that I read what I wrote, I can see it may have been taken the wrong way ... I have never and I won't ever bring up any of that non football stuff other fans use against PSU. I'm here to talk football (or defend Iowa as a state in some cases).
KF gets ripped by our own fans, so I get a little defensive about it. He doesn't cheat, he has good kids (for the most part) in his program, etc.
You aren't back to full Blue Blood status just yet (you've been there for sure ... if you want to say once there you always are there, then you'll have to make room for Minnesota and Army). Win the Big 10 again, get to the CFB playoff and take your spot back, until then, you are trying to make a run just like Iowa or Wisconsin or Michigan State, etc.
