Sunday Morning, Frank Time

Yes. International wrestling has a long and very proud history of cheating without embarrassment.

The bite by the Ukrainian wrestler was pathetic for an Olympic games and they showed it in slow motion in the link below and he intended to bite Frank. What a POS. As if the ankle grab and twisting of Frank's ankle wasn't egregious enough... the ass hat from Ukraine bites him. He should be barred from any other future Olympics. Piece of garbage. Looked like a hairy, third world baboon.

Did Snyder wrestle for Gold yet ?

Kyle Snyder wins gold! And retires from folk style wrestling!

Wait, did I make up that last part? Whatever. Congrats to Kyle, he wrestled well. Guys at 97kg can't match his speed.

And with the win, I will cheers young Mr. Snyder and tip my hat to the crushing RS he will take that keeps the yuks away from PSu in the title race.

Tavenollo, your my boy!

They better hire a new Head Coach. No excuses for the guys we have in this country not to dominate....Just seems like Mr. Nice guy at all times !!!! That does not cut it at this level....

Not bad for a team of 6 with 2 college folkstyle wrestlers, 2 more guys who didn't belong, and one with a degenerating back.
If JB had taken care of business, we would have had two gold, one bronze, and two who lost their bronze match. A really good showing potentially. Next cycle we retain snyder, cox, JB, Frank, Dake, and DT, and pick up Zain, Hall, Lee, etc. The future is bright.

And Gwiazdowski. Give him 4 years to work on his technique ... he's already more athletic than any of the heavies except possibly the Turk.

1) Should have challenged after Frank requested.

2) I have seen that last sequence called 2 on more than one occasion in freestle when the ankles are lifted and brought together like a leglace even without a knee being down or exposure.

3) Outside of that haircut, Molinaro represented PSU/NLWC/USA very well.

You do realize the national coach is not all that critical of a position -- every one of the athletes trains full time at his own RTC, under that RTC's coaches. Right?

I'm talking men here, which is what we focus on 99.999% of the time.
Says who?

Sorry I've been waiting awhile to use that.

Seriously though we don't need to wait long for more red meat. Junior worlds are next weekend.

Time to torch Zadick's contract. Should have challenged the exposure
First of all, Zadick just became the head coach after the Olympics. Bruce Burnett was the coach of the team for this event.

Also, Cody Sanderson and Bruce were in Frank's corner not Zadick. He could not challenge.

Why don't you read the whole thread

Speak for yourself!
This forum discusses male wrestling 99.999% of the time. Prove me wrong. You can get all uppity about not including women in general discussions, but the fact remains that women are left out of wrestling on these boards except for the Olympics and Title IX angst. Again, prove me wrong. I say this with 100% confidence that you cannot do so, so stop trying so hard. It makes you and others look silly.

I assumed the dissent over focusing on men 99.99% of the time was done in jest. I don't think they were really commenting on organized wrestling per se, but rather, another kind of "wrestling" guys tend to think about...

Anyway, I caught up on the matches via replay tonight and can't believe how close Frank came to Bronze. What an effort -- he really did leave it all out on the mat. While heartbreaking, nothing to regret. An incredibly valiant effort.

The Italian certainly looked like he felt he was within half-an-inch of his life at the end.

Somebody misplaced his sense of humor.

But, if you insist on being serious: I created a thread earlier this year on Hughesville's Marissa Gregoire committing to OCU. So you might want to scale back your 100% confidence.

Who all made the trip to Rio for PSU / NLWC?

Obviously, Frank the Tank, Cael, Cody & Casey. Gomez for Puerto Rico.

We saw DT went as D. Cox training partner.

Did Zain get to make the trip ? Anyone else ?
