Heartbreaking finish there, ridiculously close. He wrestled great though all day. Proud of him.

Was 2-4 at the end, with Frank holding both legs, but just inches above the mat, when the period ended. Had Frank scored the 2 points, he would have won on criteria.
We asked for a review and lost the review and one point. So, 2-5 final.
Really tough break for Frank. He had the advantage and was in control for the win. Very tough.
Great job Frank. Looked like the plan was going to work, with a great victory at the end.

Nate Carr was blatantly screwed in a semi-final match on a blatant scoring-error at the end of the match in 1988. The US Olympic Committee filed a protest and it was widely recognized that it was a wrong call screwjob, but they claimed nothing could be done. Carr ended up winning the Bronze match.

I honestly didn't care to look, but I don't need facts to disparage a Hawkeye. I guess it was Cody, and he should apologize to Frank.
Frank did a great job and almost pulled it off. I'm not convinced even if they challenged that call it would have been overturned. In real time it didn't look like an exposure to me. Plus we don't know the angle (do we) that the judges would have had.
Frank is right there with the best in the world. My hats off to him for an incredible run through the US Olympic qualifiers, tournaments to try and qualify the weight, and the Olympics.

we were told he didnt belong. we were told he wouldnt qualify. we were told that US qualifiying system needed changed
frank proved them all wrong. 2" from an olympic medal.
