That handful of posters needs to move on. One would think that winning NCs and having multiple individual champs each year would cause everyone to be in a "feel good" emotional state, but I guess not. Quit acting like your girlfriend just broke up with you. It's over.

I agree. We've won two championships without him. I'm long over it. Never really bothered me that much. Too many good kids here to root for.

In reality, I see some of the ones posting just trying to be funny and my guess is most don't really care other than that, and something to talk about in the offseason.

Heck, I still love to make fun of Michael Irvin and he's been retired for a loong time. Personally I don't see ripping on a kid in the same way as I would a pro, but I'm not a judge, just a fan, so I tune out what I don't like.

Totally. Suriano takes a totally gratuitous shot at Penn State followed by a snarky "who me?". Yes, we should just ignore him because he's being an a-hole. That's fair, I guess. I just wish he'd stop bringing up Penn State. He's where he wants to be - at a mediocre program where he is the big star. So what. We won without NS or SL.

2) if it was your kid who wanted to leave. Felt uncomfortable at his college. Liked being a big fish in a little pond. Wanted to ski a real mountain. Didn’t like the massive school. Wanted a major the school didn’t offer. It was too far from home. College was too close to home.

Name the reason. Who gives a rip? You want your kids happy and achieving in a manner that suits THEM, not you. Then...when they made the transfer, what are the odds the new place is 100 times better?

NS could stay PSU and never win the championship just as easily as at Rutgers. He may even win one if he doesn’t fall seriously ill with 3 weeks to go in the season.

Seriously. How many did Jimmy Gulibon win? Or Morgan McIntosh? You’d think our room is he only way a kid can win....but right there at 133 this year was Seth Gross...who left Iowa for SDSU!?!? Really? You pick. Rutgers or SDSU. Lol.

Rutgers' size is immaterial. So is everything else.

Haha. Well said. It also comes across as a bit hall monitor-ish for someone to tell another adult how to think, feel, react to, or move on from a given topic. Kind of like a non-drinker going into a bar to tell everyone it’s time for them to give up alcohol.

Seems like the more elegant solution is to just not frequent a thread that discusses a topic one objects to or has grown bored of. The title of this thread should’ve been enough to alert the “move-on” crowd that this is a conversation they can safely skip.

I know my frustration wasn’t really with Suriano, but with all the drama leading up to it and after it. I know Cael is a big boy and doesn’t need defending, but all the crap the fans posted about evil PSU and Cael for not releasing him was ridiculous. They never mentioned that NS was wrestling with RU before the release to even speak to him had been granted. I also am frustrated by the lack of transparency in why one kid gets a waiver of the BIG rule and another one doesn’t. The whole situation stunk.

The kid never had an opportunity to pick his parents. I try to keep that + the fact that his brain is still developing (all kids his age) into account when judging all of these behaviors. They didn’t fit the Penn State mold and I thank them for doing something about it.

You seem to miss a lot. That may have been a legitimate thought back in the fall, but not after the whole season. Some here were predicting him to win this year (2nd isn't a flop either). Some never thought he would win even when he was here. Some thought it was a tossup. AFTER being easily handled by Spencer, many other close shaves, and with Fix likely at 133, NOW some more people are saying he will never win, but you think it is because he changed schools? Personally I am not counting Suriano out (though I won't be betting on it) because from all we heard, he may not have been 100% healthy. We will see.

Regarding NS's chances at a title or the comment made hes a mediocre wrestler? You must be high or something. Youre not mediocre with a 25-1 record making it to the NCAA finals. Lets also be fair and concede NS came off a months absence just before the Bigs began.. Not fair to be judging him as if he was at his best
