We all love to do it. Pretend we actually know or some insight. But predicting most football games, especially college, is a fool’s errand. TherevRs just too many things that can quickly change a game.

Weather can be huge . Injuries prior to to or during a game. Bad officials calls.....which alway seem to occur at critical times. Fumbles, pics, blocked kicks, big plays, busted plays.

One of the biggest is mentality and momentum. This week most are expecting a tight, defensive battle with Iowa. But maybe a coach sees something in film. Maybe a players picks up a tell by an opposing player. One team strikes quickly. Perhaps a DB trips and it results in a long TD pass. Gets a lead of two or three scores by mid second quarter. The team behind plays tight or changes their offensive scheme.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that a team can be down by three touchdowns but score a TD right before the half and come storming back. Many believe the two most important possessions are the last one of the first half and the first one of the second half. These are often momentum changers and can drastically change a game.

Like our B1G title game against Wisky. We were behind, looked bad, scored a couple quick TDS, and stormed to the title.

Football is crazy unpredictable. Which is what makes it so fun!

We’ll get ready for every talking head expert to tell you how we don’t have a chance against the best Defense in the history of the B1G.

Following sports would be boring if we didn't make wild ass guesses about who will win a game. The alternative is sitting with our hands folded across our lap while patiently awaiting the outcome.

Penn State 23 - Iowa 13

The Bear was 0 for 3 last weekend on his board! Of course, he seems to love to pick the stupidest games possible each week. He did like Georgia off the board.....I will give him that.
