My only complaint is the way things have dragged on and on and on. Well that, and the way people can't seem to understand the intra-B1G transfer rule (for which the only exception seems to be the voiding of a National Letter of Intent, which pretty clearly doesn't apply to Suriano).

You couldn't distance yourself from it fast enough at the time, disclaiming that you were only passing along a rumor, the veracity of which you claimed to know nothing about, and now you're here doing a victory lap as if you were clairvoyant enough to see through the 'rumor' (which has since graduated to single quotes) which turned out to have teeth?
My point, and others, at the time is that you probably did know more than you were letting on when you tweeted that 'rumor' because we all know you have access, and your flagging that, disclaimer notwithstanding, was a clear sign that it had validity.
So I guess we're back to your not reporting what you did know because you're actually "not a journalist" despite having "broken a gazillion stories"? You're not going to make weight if you keep on getting to have your cake and eat it too.
In other words, Willie, you have to pay for all the people who are now dead because of your ill-advised tweet!

I can't say what the most important part of the Suriano developments is, but I can certainly say what the most predictable part was going to be, and it is that you would come here to gloat about being right about the rumor if it indeed turned out to have merit.
You didn't disappoint in that regard . . . only problem is that the debate was never about whether the rumor had merit.
