I lik he planet where rational people would all say that they expect Alabama to beat TCU (the definition of better).

The problem is the CFP and change which was initiated was to remove what the sheep echo to themselves on message boards, aka clownshow bias.

You and Lando keep saying that Alabama is better because people "expect" them to win, lol. Why play the season? What you have done is simply replaced the old AP with what now is what everyone "expects" based on subjective opinions or who is favored per Vegas. This debate, then, is not a debate. Your planet is one on which one of you state your opinion and tell everyone else they are wrong.

I think the committee did the right and predictable thing, though yeah, it's true, Vegas would favor Alabama over TCU on a neutral field. In fact, TCU has opened as a 9.5-point underdog to Michigan whereas an Alabama-Michigan game might well have been rated as dead even or close to it.

The problem is, by the standards of those favoring Alabama -- it's a "better" team and that's the only judgment the committee should be making -- TCU should be out even if it had won its game in overtime against Kansas State. After all, Alabama would still be "better." A TCU field goal the other way would not change that. It's at this point the entire system collapses into absurdity.

You can't go by brand names and subjective judgments of "better." You have to go by the record and accomplishments on the field, and by that standard, this wasn't a close call.

Fortunately, when we get the expanded playoff, these kinds of disputes will be less pressing...because they'll be kicked down to the 12th-ranked team.

Getting into field, just Like mbb, is subjective.

But the 66th best team in ncaa tourney cannot say they could have won it all.

Getting to 12 team tourney ends this all.

It won't though because you have conference champs not included. Once we get to 24 it ends
