1) Gros Matos all over the field in the first half......looked like the 2nd half of last year.
2) Tighter coverage on the short routes, we were getting pressure and the MD QB could not step up and throw a 3 yd route to a outlet back.
3) Great to see back up TE getting some love. Nick Bowers with a TD and a long reception.
4) Dan Chisena continues to get behind cornerbacks. He made the catch when he was pass interferred, and caught the ball on the side line with his foot inbounds....horrible call by the refs.
5) O Line was awesome on running and passing plays.....handled the stunts that MD threw at them during the game. Great job by a unit that has not been very consistent.
6) Clifford knew that the OL was on their game. He looked so comfortable in the pocket....he would almost get completely still in the pocket looking for a receiver and then pounce in the direction of the throw.....great night for Clifford.
7) DTs and Middle Lbs were snuffing the run.....great job by Windsor, Fred H., PJ, Shelton......Jan, Parsons, Brooks and Luketa.
8) Our defensive backfield is loaded......cb after cb gets placed on the field and they do a great job, similarly by the young D Lineman.....especially Issac and Ellies.

Great job on Offense on 3rd down....same for the defense. good special teams......total team effort.

Great job PSU.

9) PSU didn't sleep for 2 quarters and came out to play all night long.
10) The depth and PT continues to develop every single week. PSU is playing a TON of people each week and keep legs fresh.

I don’t think he had control before his touched down out of bounds. Close but they got it right.

If you’ve beaten a conference opponent 59-0, I think you have to look harder for things you did not like.

Yup. It always seems to work in PSU"s favor when the beef of the schedule comes later in the year. Imagine how things might have been different last year had we had this schedule? And on the flip side, how confident would you be if we had Ohio State coming to town next weekend followed by a BYE & Michigan State.

Schedule makes such a huge difference in a team's ability to rise up. This year we start B1G play with two of the worst teams in the league, then have our first true road test after they have to play at Michigan for UM's homecoming. From what i've seen today in Purdue Pete against the Goophers..., we should be a well oiled machine heading to Iowa City in 2 weeks. #knockonwood

I'd take Brutus weekend before Thanksgiving every year if we could lock that down.

Really good point. With this many RS frosh, frosh, and true sophs on the field...it's good the the schedule is back loaded. They will grow up a ton. I thought we could get to 5-0 going into Iowa and hopefully by then everyone is grown up and ready to go. They are getting there.

This!! It was great to see them come out - on the road - ready to play from the get go. Playing time now for the younger guys will definitely pay off down the road.

Loved the comment from the play by play guys... "boy you'd never guess these players had any idea what the score was with the way they attack on every down."

It was 52-0, and he was right. They were swarming and feisty as if it was 52-52

Watching the game again:

Love the chain moving passes in the Maryland game.
The RBs caught passes, we tried a couple of screen passes the one to the WR was blown up by Maryland.

Worried about Castro Fields getting a shoulder injury but he was interviewed at the end of the game and he seemed fine, no sling.

Worried about Shorter still everyone else seemed injury free.

CJ Thorpe destroys his man on the QB TD run in the 4th Quarter. He gets flagged but his energy and attitude are needed for this team.
