Thread on testing & treatment research for COVID-19

Some scary stuff. Could explain why some people are long haulers with residual affects that last for months.

Yet I know people with heart issues that had it and recovered quickly and completely. Would be helpful to,know if some people have other issues that predispose them to cardiac issues like diabetes or obesity.

This study makes no reference at all to zinc or vitamin D. Everyone that says that ivermectin works all say they take both zinc and D with it. Just like HydroxyQ, none of the studies use the combination. In chemotherapy it is quite common to use a combination of drugs as they work synergistically. Same with AIDS. Why don’t they refuse to see that with Covid?

Actually there was a study last spring that found that smokers were less likely to be hospitalized for covid

Right. Cause YouGov.com surveys are the gold standard in scientific evidence. smh
I know, but I couln't find a more acceptable source so in lieu of that I checked several (i found three) data points from more main stream sources that I could find and they matched very closely. Did you check any?

In hindsight, without checking any data points but just thinking back, the data seems about right.

Nice false premise that NPIs to slow the spread would be "best pandemic policy."

Short-sightedly focusing on trying to slow the spread was (is) why this thing has been such a disaster.

NPIs like the ones we're seeing were never recommended for a pandemic. Yet, for some reason the rules changed for covid.
