I'm right with you Fair. Fourth back surgery. He has a reasonable idea of what he can and can't tolerate. I'm sure if you are in extreme pain, you are not driving to the local Walgreens at 3 a.m. Also, it's less than 6 weeks since his surgery. I'm curious how long of a time period, if any, his surgeon advised him to refrain from driving. A lot of questions left to be answered.I agree that back pain is no fun, and yet I think the throwing of stones is totally warranted. Tiger is no dummy. He knows the effects of his meds. He can afford a driver, or can certainly get in a cab. I have a 70 year old client that faces serious pain every day of his life, and is on heavy pain medication. He gave up driving because he knows he is a risk to himself and others when he gets behind the wheel. He came to my office for a Will recently and took the bus. I offered to ride him home and he refused saying my time was valuable and he would be just fine. That man has my respect. Tiger, not so much.
In Florida, failing a field sobriety test, under the influence of drugs seems to be the same as a DUI with alcohol. Also, it does NOT matter if you have a RX for them. http://dui.drivinglaws.org/resources/floridas-drugged-driving-law.htm
