Not PSU related , but pretty cool. We brought a Dual team out to San Diego this week for DDay on the Midway. Team got 3rd and had some great competition. My little guy (10 yr old) made the finals for the individual tournament. He'll be wrestling on the flight deck of the Midway tonight. Pretty cool experience for these youngsters. Also , My boy is ready to commit as soon as Cael extends the offer

Regarding the offer, just email Spyker’s secretary in the wrestling office to set up your in-home.

That pretty badass to put it lightly. I was able to go on the flight deck of one of new carriers down in Hampton Roads back in law school. Amazing - I love the maps they have throughout the ship so you know where the hell you are.

I’ve never been on the Midway, but I wonder if you can see the plane elevator and below deck aircraft storage area.

yes, you can tour it and have access to almost the entire ship. It's very impressive.

Love these types of memories that boys are creating for themselves. Awesome job Dad!

Well the entire experience was awesome. Unfortunately, he locked up a cradle and turned the kid. In the process touched his shoulders and the ref called the defensive pin. Can really argue with the call but tough way to lose in that setting. He took it pretty well. Overall, it was an awesome trip.

Yes you can. We went to San Diego for our nephew's wedding in 2012 and my bil, who was a retired navy vet, insisted we take the Midway tour. It was quite a thrill to be able to see first hand such an impressive part of our history.

Awesome. I’ve been thinking of doing a long weekend in San Diego with free air miles and that sounds like a great thing to add to the itinerary.

I think I was on the Truman - a Nimitz Class carrier based at Norfolk Naval Air Station. Our Professor was a Lt Commander and hooked us up. While we were on the deck, we saw a Destroyer with its front gun turret and port bow caved in getting towed past. Our professor - who was in the JAG office of course - wouldn’t say much other than that the skipper was in deep shit.

Once, a skipper allowed his boat to be sliced in two by a ramming bigger, slower, less maneuverable vessel in a one-on-one encounter. He managed to avoid the deep sh*t! ;) #itsallinthespin #courageprofiles

Hahahaha! Exactly. And the book that won the Pulitzer was ghost written by a family friend. What a joke
