So hard to take down...seems like he only gets taken down when one of his throws fail.

Does he have the best defense on the team? In all of D1?

Surely there are takedowns allowed stats. I wouldn't count takedowns that occur due to a failed throw.

Nolf lets you in then pins you with the Winn Dixie (or at least scores 2+4 NF)

Yes, takedowns allowed stats are kept, and they are readily available.

I only have access to stats for dual meets this season:

TDs allowed:

Carson Kuhn - 7
Corey Keener - 11
Nick Lee - 6
Zain - 3
Nolf - 4
Joseph - 3
Hall - 2
Nickal - 1
Cassar - 2
Rasheed - 0
Nevills - 8

How does one determine this? I don't see any way to do so. On his team, Zain, Nolf, Hall, and Nickal all could make a case for having better defenses. On other teams, guys off the top of my head that are elite defenders include: Spencer Lee, Nick Suriano, Luke Pletcher, Joey McKenna, Yianni, Stevan Micic, Zahid Valencia, and I'm sure I'm leaving out quite a few.

There's also a question of how you evaluate having the best defense. Is that blocking shots? Is that winning scrambles? Is that countering shots and coming out with the TD? Is that forcing stalemates?

That’s the Mack Lewnes Award. Who gives a crap. Score points and heap pressure on the other guy to match you

Some amazing defensive stats from our studs.

For who? the team? Surely not the fans.
LP, and others...I believe what pawrestlersintn was referring to is the Match Notes published after every dual and tournament during the season, readily accessible on gopsusports under "News", then "Match Notes". Here's the latest, done after B1G's (NCAA's hasn't been published yet). The Dual Takedown info is on page 12.

Sorry if I misunderstood.
