physically at least, on the score board, I don't care.
But in the end, an OSU win this week and next week helps us most?

I'd prefer MSU not coming in next week on a high.physically at least, on the score board, I don't care.

Doesn't matter to PSU if daO$U wins or losses this game - either Indiana or daO$U needs to beat scUM for PSU to go to B1G Championship Game and win the East Division if PSU's wins out. But again, this game has no impact as PSU already has the head-to-head tiebreaker over daO$U (PSU needs scUM to lose a second time, not daO$U....but it certainly doesn't hurt if daO$U losses again as they are in front of PSU right now).
I like the idea of OSU tenderizing MSU.physically at least, on the score board, I don't care.

I agree. Too many here are chalking it up in the W column already. Even though he's a prick, Dantonio is a good coach. They'll be ready. I don't think it will be the same SOS (Same Old Sparty).Yeah I'm not getting the sense that next week will be an easy win st all.
The first two plays of the game.I think our DL will be able to control the MSU offense. Just like OSU is doing.
MSU has 2 big plays and that is it.
We want OSU to lose, but stay healthy. Give them the best possible chance to win next weekend.physically at least, on the score board, I don't care.

The way I see it if Michigan State wins today....and we win out and Michigan wins out....Michigan goes to the Play Off and we go to the Rose Bowl. I'd be ecstatic with that. I would love for us to get to the Play Off as well but it seems that there are just too many moving parts for that to happen. A bird in the hand vs two in the bush.

Gotta disagree with you here...what's the difference if OSU looks bad pulling out a win or loses? If they lose, That's one less team in front of us that everyone is assuming is an automatic bid if they beat Michigan.Wouldn't them winning this week and next just help with our Resume?
What if Clemson and Washington go undefeated and suddenly our best win isn't looking so great.
Don't we need that to stay a strong win since wins count so much.
I gotta disagree with yinz
OSU will still have plenty to play for as they win and we lose to MSU they go to CFG and are still alive for playoffs and since most likely our game will be after OSU/MU they will be plenty motivated. Not even to mention the rivalry aspect. Of course we have our own BIG rivalary game tonight with RU and then next week for the most wanted trophy in all the land! "The Land Grant Trophy"If OSU loses today, all they can do is play the spoiler next week, assuming we win tonight. But as much as I'd like to see it normally, I don't think it helps us. I agree that a physically and mentally defeated MSU next week is preferable to a team whose pride and confidence has just kicked in. And I want Ohio state to have every incentive to beat Michigan. As I say that, I can't help but root for MSU as I watch the game.
If we win out and beat a top ten team in Wisconsin, I think it will be very difficult to exclude an 11-2 Penn State when an 11-1 OSU is in and that lone loss is to us. Regardless of what happens in the OSU/MSU game, all we really need to root for is a Buckeye win next week. Of course, what I'd really like to see is an IU win over Michigan!
I think I think Ohio State losing is a bad thing. Glad they won. Diminishes our big win a little. Also pretty much takes OSU out of contention for everything. I would rather a hungry Ohio State a week from today looking for championships, not an Ohio State team with nothing to play for.
