Franklin always answers this really well, and it is his consistent answer. Penn State needs to play up to Penn State's A+ standard, for four quarters. It's not really about Pitt, it's about Penn State players playing their positions well and executing the play calls. If they do that, the game outcome takes care of itself.
And really that is so different from last year. Last year Penn State was young and in transition, and nobody (except maybe Franklin and the coaches) knew what they had. This year it is apparent what PSU has on this team. They show up, play smart, play physical for four quarters, good things will result. They don't have to overachieve, they don't need anybody to try too hard. They just all need to worry about their own position and play it as well as they can, and the game will be theirs.
And who cares about the margin of victory, though I suspect that will take care of itself if PSU plays like they are capable of playing and like they played last weekend.
